Description

Brand New - The Model Y is the newest and most popular Tesla. This is the entry level Standard Range model that starts at under $39,000 but it is no longer listed on Tesla.com. This car has the new Seven Seat option. Rent this car to see if the entry level model meets your needs. And just a friendly reminder - NO SMOKING. Please help us keep this expensive car looking like new. Please honor Turo's No Smoking and No Pet policies., No eating. No drinking besides water. I have had guests blatantly disregard the No Smoking policy and because of this I reserve the right to decline to rent to anyone. Thank you. Before renting this car, please understand how and where you can charge the car. Be aware that certain areas, like the Kalamazoo area, may not have any Tesla Superchargers at the current time, so you will only be able to charge at Level 2 chargers making charging times be 4 - 6 hours. Guests pay for Supercharger - Level 3 charging. But this is way cheaper than paying for gas. Just enter "Tesla" in the Navigation to be routed to the nearest Supercharger. Charging typically takes 20 minutes if it's planned as part of the trip. But to charge the car from dead at a Supercharger may take 40 minutes or more, You can also search for and use EV Chargers (Level 2 Charing) if there are no Tesla chargers in the area. But, Level 2 Charging will take 4 - 6 hours to charge a low battery. The mobile charger (Level 1 Charging) is included so you can charge at home if needed. A standard outlet will recharge around 3% per hour which means it would take 24 to 36 hours to charge from a low battery. The guest is expected to return the vehicle with the same amount of charge as when it was delivered, but I'm flexible. I will need to charge a fee if it's returned with less than 25%, though.

Deluxe class

This exclusive car has additional safety checks for guests under 30.

Faqs

  • What's the range of this Model Y?

The vehicle is rated at 244 miles of range, but I would plan on 200 - 220 miles of real world range. This has been more than enough for any trip. 200 miles is about 3 hours of driving time so people normally would be looking for a stop before that.

  • What about Charging the Model Y?

    - Please review these links - https://www.tesla.com/charging and https://www.plugshare.com/ - to get an idea on charging and where charging stations are located. The Tesla Superchargers can charge the car from dead to 100% in about 45 minutes but are more like 20 minutes if you work the stops into your trip planning. Level 2 chargers (240 v - like a dryer hook up) can charge from dead in about 4 - 5 hours. Level 1 charging is your basic home 110 outlet and would take 24 - 36 hours. Also, it is not good for the vehicle to try to take the battery to 0%. It's hard on the battery and can shorten the lifespan. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Thank you

  • Other charges:

Turo allows the following charges for reimbursement: Cleaning of $50 or less Excess distance charges of $500 or less Tesla Idle fee Tickets or tolls

Awesome car! David was so nice, walked me through everything the car has to offer. Turo doesn't notify me when I have a new message so I missed a bunch of messages, but that did not impact the trip, thank goodness. Would definitely rent again, if I don't buy a Tesla myself first. 😊

David's response

You guys were great! Thanks for taking care of my car. And if you buy a new Tesla, please use my referral code for free Supercharger miles - https://ts.la/david66242
