Description

Enjoy our ultra-safe 2018 Toyota RAV4 XLE for a comfortable and fuel efficient trip. Plenty of space for you and your luggage. Loaded with the premium bluetooth and navigation package, as well as all of 2018's safety options from the Toyota line so you can feel secure. More safety specs at the bottom of the listing. Items to note, the rear seats fold down so the car is flexible for transporting larger items. As long as the seats are up in normal position, you can use the tonneau cover to keep valuables or smaller luggage items blocked from view. Due to the Texas sun, all of the back windows are heavily tinted so it is also more difficult than normal to see into the car from the outside, other than through the windshield. Now that we have been renting the car for a while it does have some wear and tear. there are a few dents and dings on the back left as well as the front left, but this has all been logged and is not something you are liable for. Every time we check out and check in the car, we have to upload new pictures to prove the condition. Walk the car with us and make sure you are aware of the condition in which you received it. Items to know that Turo doesn't clearly spell out: - Tolls Texas in general, but Dallas / Fort Worth in particular has a LOT of tolls. Our car has a TollTag in it, so everywhere you go you are covered. If you elect to have the car delivered to you at the DFW airport, this is also how you will get into and out of the airport toll booths. All you have to do is drive up to the gate, wait a about 10 to 20 seconds depending on how slow it is that day, then the gate will open and you can come in. Tolls will be submitted as a reimbursement request to you through the Turo app once we have the car back. We always make a spreadsheet that has the information from the TollTag website showing the dates, the charges, the locations of the charges, and the license plate number. On average expect tolls to cost $5 to $25 for about a week. However, if you are driving during heavy traffic hours, the expressways can add up fast at $1 to $3 just for one way. Sometimes it takes a day or two but we will send you either a picture of the spreadsheet or an email with it as an attachment if you would like. - Gas There is now an added extra to prepay for your gas at $45, this has to be something you elect through the application and isn't something that we can alter from our end. In the situation that you don't have time to get gas and bring it back to us without the prepay option, we will then fill the tank, take a picture of the receipt and send that as a picture through text afterwards. However, When we submit for gas as a reimbursement (other than the prepaid package which is all inclusive), Turo charges a mandatory $10 inconvenience fee in addition which we aren't able to waive. - Communication Certainly the key to success in any endeavor. Please communicate openly with us. If things change that is ok. You have the power to edit your reservation throughout, we do not. We are only able to accept reservations, accept proposed changes to reservations or not accept them, or cancel it altogether. Any other changes need to be from your end. We HIGHLY suggest that you download the Turo app on your phone for communication and notification. - Delivery / Pickup We live about 10 to 15 minutes north of the DFW airport, but due to the airport's surcharges for Lyft or Uber, it usually comes out to be about $15 to $25 depending on the time. If you choose the free option, which is to come here, then you need to actually come to us and not request us to come somewhere else. If you would like us to come to you, then please select a delivery option. This has worked well to and from the DFW airport. Make sure to send us your flight itinerary for arrival and departure and then we can track the flights. This way we can be at your terminal and close to the exit by your gate, instead of driving all around the airport. If you aren't familiar with the DFW airport it is great but very large. If you have any questions please make sure to reach out, which you can do before or after booking. NOTE - since both of us work full time and have different schedules, we may need you to drop one of us back off in Lakeside, DFW so that we can get home if only one of us is available. Our car has a Power LiftGate for the back hatch. Toyota Safety Sense for our 2018 Toyota Rav4 XLE with optional power package: - Pre-collision system with Pedestrian Detection - Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist - Automatic High Beams - Dynamic Radar Cruise Control - Blind Spot Monitor - Rear Cross-Traffic Alert - Power Liftgate - Premium Audio - Built-in Navigation Other than automatic high beams, we will make sure to always have all of the safety features actively enabled when each rental begins. Some of them will beep at you and be a bit alarming, such as if you drift out of the lane or move lanes without a turn signal. You can control all of these features but we suggest you leave them on for your safety.

Guidelines

Please make sure to keep the car clean. Often we have quick turnarounds for the next rental, so if it comes back trashed it looks bad on us. Any smoking, damage or stains, or general dirtiness will require us to get the car cleaned and then submit a reimbursement request to you through the application. Generally this isn't an issue, as most renters are considerate. If something happens it's ok please let us know and we will work with you to figure it out. ANY accident or serious damage needs to be reported immediately to Turo AND you need to call the police to make sure there is a police report.
