Guidelines
1. No smoking in this vehicle under any circumstances. Smoking includes any tobacco or tobacco-related products, marijuana or marijuana substitutes, e-cigarettes, or personal vaporizers. (A smoking incidental enforced by Turo will be added to your trip if you do not honor this guideline) 2. Wash and vacuuming included with rental but it does not include upholstery cleaning, stains, pet hair, smoke, or strong odor removal. (A cleaning incidental enforced by Turo will be added to your trip if you do not follow these guidelines) 3. You will be held responsible & charged for all legal violations including but not limited to Parking Tickets and Moving Violations. 4. CURB Rash. As you are responsible for the vehicle, you will be responsible for curb rash. Costs to repair or replace a single rim can range between $100 and $350, and takes a lot of time. These wheels are quite expensive, so please be careful. 5. The car comes equipped with a toll transponder that you can utilize to benefit from reduced toll rates, and we don't impose any processing fees on top of that. You'll only be charged the exact cost of the tolls, and the billing for this may be delayed by a few weeks.

When do I charge the Tesla?
It's best to charge the Tesla before the battery level becomes too low which could damage the battery over time. Ideally, charge the Tesla when it gets to 20% (~30 miles) and unplug the charger when you reach 80% - 85%.
How do I pay for charging?
You are welcome to use Tesla Supercharging when needed. All you'll need to do is plug the car in and it'll start charging! They automatically bill the car owner, and so I will request reimbursement at the conclusion of your trip. I DO NOT add any extra fees on top. The average charge is about $25-$35. Feel free to add the EV charging to your booking if you don't want to extra hassle of filling up prior to return. Note: Make sure you don't leave the vehicle there after it's done charging. If you do, you'll be fully responsible for any and all Idle Fees incurred during your rental period. If I leave the car to charge for a while, I will often set a timer for when charging will be complete.
Will I have access to the Tesla Mobile App?
Yes! As soon as your rental period starts, I will send you a link to add the vehicle to your phone. That will be the way to unlock the vehicle when you walk up to it. You will also be able to use your phone as key, precondition the vehicle and monitor charging. It is best for you to install the Tesla mobile app prior to picking up the car. Once you return the Tesla, the Host will revoke the invite and the vehicle will be removed from your Tesla mobile app.
How much charge should the Tesla have when I return it?

If you are not familiar with Tesla DO NOT book. Very little instruction provided for downloading app and using phone key. I stood at the car and had to try and navigate a triple authentication process (required a "back up" email).
I'm sure the car was fine but I never found out but still was charged for 2 days. If you drive a Tesla regularly I'm sure it would have worked out fine.

This rating is not based on my service or the vehicle. I tried walking the guest through the process of linking his phone to the car. I’ve helped dozens of guests with this process with success. It’s a simple process but not everyone has the same level of patience and proficiency with technology. Being charged for the rental is Turo’s policy, since the guest waited until after the rental began to cancel it. I have no control over that.
