Fully loaded BMW X3 I try to keep cars clean for check out as long as I am given sufficient notice, they're expected to be returned int he same condition as they were checked out in. If the car is significantly more dirty than it was on check out, you will be charged a cleaning fee. Smoking and Pets are strictly prohibited in all vehicles and you will be fined through Turo if the policies are violated. Also, late returns are absolutely not accepted, If you pick up the vehicle late that's usually not a problem for me as long as you let me know you're running behind, however picking up late DOES NOT mean you can return the car late. Does the car run? Yes. Did it serve my intended purpose? Yes. Do you need a running start to shoulder charge the front passenger door in order to open it? Yes. Maggie herself was a great host but be aware that the vehicular experience was mediocre. The vent periodically exhausted air that resembles an oil change is due or there’s an oil leak in the engine bay that’s burning off the oil. Sticky textures including the driver’s door handle, steering wheel, shift knob, and previously mentioned front passenger door when attempting to open. Host did inform me prior to pickup that there’s a sensor issue that’s causing a check engine light but does not affect the vehicle mechanically. It did drive ok and serve its purpose. There is however a random left turn signal malfunction that comes on when it wants to, with an endless warning chime. Not sure if host knows about that, but I’ve noticed it mostly during wet conditions. Would I rent again - reluctantly yes if I’m strapped for a very specific vehicle spec but I’d be embarrassed to recommend this same one to a friend/family. I understand the vehicle has some years on it and there are normal signs of wear and tear.
