Description

// FREE Airport Delivery for trips of 7+ days // // FREE Unlimited Mileage // // $25 delivery to Union Station if you want to take the RTD train from DIA // Experience the most seamless driving experience with the 2020 Tesla Model Y Long Range AWD White Fang is incredibly fun to drive whether you're out on a date night or headed to the mountains for your next adventure. This car has it all going 0-60 in 4.7 seconds, 310 miles of range, plenty of storage, and autopilot. In addition, we've upgraded White Fang with snow tires, 20'' wheels, all-weather floor mats, all windows tinted, and a windshield film to add protection for highway driving. With dual electric motors, AWD, and snow tires, this car handles very well in the rain and snow. Colorado has a great supercharger network in place all throughout Denver Metro and in the mountains whether you're headed up Hwy 70 or 285. You can top up ~200 miles in ~20 minutes with Level 3 supercharging. The Model Y is one of the safest cars on the road with 360 degree cameras, 12 sensors to prevent collisions, and autopilot with smart cruise control. It also has Sentry mode, which records automatically if someone tries to break in or if there's an accident on the road. The minimalist aesthetic is a joy to experience with a beautiful 15 inch display and panoramic, glass roof with UV and infrared protection. The premium sound system is incredible and all 5 seats are heated for those cold mornings on the way to the lift. It even has Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, and Disney+ to enjoy when you're charging all the way up. If this is your first time driving a Tesla or an EV, there's nothing to worry about. I have a video tutorial link in the FAQ for you to watch before your trip and I'm usually available to meet you for 15-20 minutes to answer your questions and ensure you feel comfortable. For options and instructions on charging, please see FAQ or Guidelines below.

Guidelines

// No pets or smoking / No exceptions // $200 fine for failing to comply // No off-roading in the Model Y / If the battery is damaged, all repair costs will be charged to the guest // // All fees including but not limited to tolls, tickets, unpaid parking fees, towing fees, etc will be charged to renter as they're received // // Mountain Travel // Please note that our Model Y comes with AWD and performs very well in the Rockies. However, trips to the mountains often result in a very dirty Tesla upon return. If you do not select a prepaid cleaning fee, please be advised that a cleaning fee of up to $40 may be charged for proper removal of dust, dirt and grime from the mountain roads. // Charging // There are three ways to charge Model Y, which I have described in detail below. Please be sure to never let the battery go below 30 miles of range as it will put you at risk and can damage the Tesla battery. If you go below 30 miles of range, there may be a fine of up to $250. All Tesla charging fees will be billed to you after your trip because Tesla automatically charges my credit card. Supercharging is still very cost effective averaging $15-20 to fill up costing 50% or less than a gasoline car. / Tesla Supercharger / This is my recommendation as it is by far the fastest and easiest way to charge Tesla vehicles. It was designed for fast charging on road trips and will charge 300-900 miles/hr at 480V giving you ~200 miles in ~20 minutes. I highly recommend using Tesla Superchargers during road trips as it is superior to all other charging methods and it's built into the Tesla Navigation on your display. As soon as you plug in, the display inside the car will show you how long it will take to charge the vehicle until full and shows you the cost in real time. / Tesla Destination Charger or Universal EV Charger / Tesla Destination Chargers are installed by businesses and land owners for public use, but are ~10x slower than Tesla Superchargers. They use 240V and will give you~30-44 miles of range per hour. They will also automatically pop up in the Tesla Navigation on your display when you're on a trip. This would be a good option if you are plugging in overnight at your hotel. Universal EV Chargers such as ChargePoint use 240V and will give you ~20-28 miles of ranger per hour. These are quite slow, but could be a good option if you are too far from Tesla Supercharger or Tesla Destination Charger. They require the provided adapter, which is stored in the frunk. You can download the ChargePoint or PlugShare app to find the nearest Universal EV Charger. / Tesla Mobile Charger / The Tesla Mobile Charger is not recommended unless being used in a private garage or in an emergency situation. It uses 120V and will only give you 3-5 miles of range per hour making it very slow and ineffective for road trips. I provide the Tesla Mobile Charger and extension cord (only for emergency use) in the frunk. To avoid recharging fees upon return of the Tesla you have two options 1. Choose the prepaid EV Recharging option prior to booking and return with 50+ miles 2. Return the Tesla with 200+ miles of charge If you fail to return the Tesla with sufficient mileage, a fee of $25 will be applied.

Faqs

  • I've never driven a Tesla or EV and am curious as to how it works?

Don't worry, they are very intuitive to drive, but you may fall in love and not want to go back to your gas car. They drive similar to a gas car, but are much faster, more technologically advanced, and more fun to drive. I have provided a video tutorial link below, and I am generally available to meet you for 15-20 minutes and answer any additional questions you may have. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mkjfR0EMdAY

  • What if I need to extend my trip?

Please send me a message on the Turo app and I'm happy to extend your trip if the car is available.

  • Does this car have Autopilot and/or Full Self Driving?

This car comes equipped with Autopilot, but you can request to add Full Self Driving for $200 (up to one month). Please read the details below for the full description. From the Tesla website: Autopilot is a suite of driver assistance features that comes standard with the purchase of a new car or can be purchased after delivery, and brings new functionality to your Tesla that makes driving safer and less stressful. Available packages include: Autopilot (standard) -Traffic-Aware Cruise Control: Matches the speed of your car to that of the surrounding traffic -Autosteer: Assists in steering within a clearly marked lane, and uses traffic-aware cruise control Full Self-Driving Capability -Navigate on Autopilot (Beta): Actively guides your car from a highway’s on-ramp to off-ramp, including suggesting lane changes, navigating interchanges, automatically engaging the turn signal and taking the correct exit -Auto Lane Change: Assists in moving to an adjacent lane on the highway when Autosteer is engaged -Autopark: Helps automatically parallel or perpendicular park your car, with a single touch -Summon: Moves your car in and out of a tight space using the mobile app or key -Smart Summon: Your car will navigate more complex environments and parking spaces, maneuvering around objects as necessary to come find you in a parking lot. -Traffic and Stop Sign Control (Beta): Identifies stop signs and traffic lights and automatically slows your car to a stop on approach, with your active supervision **The currently enabled Autopilot and Full Self-Driving features require active driver supervision and do not make the vehicle autonomous.

  • What happens if I use an (Express) Toll lane, receive a ticket, or get towed?

The guest will be charged for all fees as they arrive in the mail including but not limited to (Express) tolls, all types of tickets, unpaid parking fees, charging fees, towing fees, etc.

  • What happens if I hit a curb and scratch the Tesla's wheel(s)?

The guest will be charged between $100-250 for each scratch depending on the repair costs. The wheels are powder coated 20'' Induction wheels from Tesla.

Great car and fun to drive but the pick up was a bit unclear and had an issue when arriving. Jeremy was great and responded quickly! Would rent from again just would like better detailed instructions when picking up.

Jeremy's response

Hey Shawn, I'm sorry you felt the pickup was unclear. We coordinated for pick up a full week before your trip started with multiple detailed messages and then I followed up on the day of your trip. I assume the 4 stars is because your flight landed 2.5 hours late and there was an additional charge at the parking lot. I'm sorry this happened, but that is out of my control. It seems you were happy with my response, so the 4 stars is disappointing and a bit confusing.
