This is at the first light rail stop away from the airport or a short 10 minute Uber ride.
Please treat our vehicle like you would treat your Mom's car... Lost Key - $250 to replace the key This Is A Smoke Free / Odor Free Vehicle - no smoking anything or vaping in or near the vehicle. We will charge the maximum cleaning fee possible ($500) if we can smell any tobacco or marijuana, even if it's just from transporting it - please resist the urge to open packaging in or near the car. All Drivers Need To Be Approved In The Turo App Insurance - We require proof of Full Coverage, not just liability. If you don’t have Full Coverage on your personal policy we require you to add either Standard or Premier Protection Plan. No Pets Are Allowed Winter Considerations The seat warmers are the most efficient way to keep yourself warm, and every seat is heated. For maximum range set the cabin temp to 70 and use the seat warmers. Sentry Mode There are 8 cameras that will monitor the exterior of the car when it's locked using a USB flash drive. Please don't remove it. In addition, the car will store a few minutes of footage before and after you honk the horn in. All vehicles have e-Toll subscription which will allow for the cheapest toll rate if you decide to use the toll lane - we’ll add those fees to your final bill. Orientation If you haven’t driven a Tesla before we recommend driving with us a short distance to the SuperCharger so we can show you the amazing features of the car including how to hook up to the SuperCharger while we complete your check-in. Vehicle Charging If you run out of battery, the only option is for you to pay to have the car towed somewhere it can be charged. This is no fun for anyone - so keep an eye on your charge level. Please not to run the battery below 35 miles of range as it can damage the battery permanently. Idle fees are charged when the vehicle remains plugged into a SuperCharger after it has completed charging, and can be as high as $2 minute. There is a 5 minute grace period, but please note the estimated charge time if you’re planning to leave the vehicle. When you’re done charging, please move the vehicle from the charging spot so other people can charge. We recommend leaving the max charge at 80% - this is the sweet spot for fastest charging. Charge speeds decline as you get closer to 100% charge. The last 10% (roughly 30 miles) of charge is particularly slow, so don’t bump it up unless you really need to or you may add 15-20 minutes to your charge time. Charging from 20% to 80% typically takes 25 - 35 minutes. Use voice control to “Navigate to the nearest SuperCharger” - even if you know how to get there - this will allow the battery pack to be pre-conditioned to be at the optimal temperature for charging when you arrive at the SuperCharger. The battery will discharge even when you’re not driving - we recommend charging before you stop for the day if you have less than 100 miles of range. This will ensure you have adequate charge to get where you need to the next day. Some hotels and restaurants offer complimentary charging for guests (referred to as destination charging). Some hotels offer Tesla specific charging, others will have a J172 charging station. A J1772 adapter is in the driver door storage bin. Please be sure to take the adapter from the charger when you’re done charging. If you’re looking for charging options other than SuperChargers, we recommend using the PlugShare app which can also be accessed via www.plugshare.com. Please note that a SuperCharger will charge at hundreds of miles per hour, non-Tesla chargers typically charge at 35 miles per hour or slower. Also, please note while some charging stations are provided for free, most are not and you will need a separate app to pay for charging. If you’re parking outside - especially overnight during the winter, be aware that the battery will not charge as quickly when it’s cold, and will indicate a reduced range. If you drive 20-30 miles before charging the battery pack - it will usually be plenty of time to warm up. If the battery pack is not warmed up before you reach the charging station, it will heat itself up, however you’ll charge slower until it does. Bioweapons Defense Mode Breathe easier when you enable the Model X’s HEPA filter which scrubs out 99.97% of pollutants at .3 microns. Returning The Vehicle: If you have pre-paid for charging on return, please leave us with at least 60 miles of range so we can ensure we can get to a charger. If you declined pre-paid charging, we expect the car to be returned with at least the range it had when it was delivered. If the car is returned with less range there is a $10 fee for vehicles with 50% or more battery left (160 miles of range or more), and a $25 fee for vehicles with less than 50% battery left (less than 160 miles of range).
What's the deal with charging?
We recommend that you use the Tesla SuperCharging network for the fastest charging, fees are automatically charged to the vehicle and we'll simply add them to your final bill. In addition to the Supercharging network, there are many destination chargers which don't have a charge fee associated with them - most are hotels, but there are some restaurants as well. Tesla charges fees for idling at a Supercharger station after charging is complete - so please make note the estimated charge time if you're planning on leaving the vehicle.
How does it do in the mountains and snow?
Snow tires are rotated onto the car in November and off in April. Electric motors ensure you have the power you need to go, even as gas cars have reduced power because they can't get enough oxygen. As far as handling in the snow, our guests have given these vehicles rave reviews even during blizzard conditions
What Features Does Full Self Driving Include
Full Self Driving enables your car to navigate HIGHWAYS to your destination - auto lane change, NOA (Navigate on Auto-Pilot and smart summon. Full Self Driving currently requires you to keep your hands on the wheel and be attentive while driving. It can navigate, lane change and route your trip while on highways - entrance ramp to exit ramp for long trips. It will NOT perform "autosteer on city streets" as that is a Beta Feature which is not fully released.
Full Self Driving Appears To Be Disabled
Full Self Driving, *cannot* be disabled - Full Self Driving Beta can be. When Full Self Driving Beta is disable all features other than "autosteer on city streets" will still work. This will allow the car to navigate HIGHWAYS to your destination - including auto lane change, NOA (Navigate on Auto-Pilot and smart summon.
FSD vs FSD Beta
This vehicle has access to the Full Self Driving Beta, *However*, access may be removed by Tesla for various reasons beyond our control. This means that we cannot guarantee you will have access to "autosteer on city streets" feature for your trip, but you will always have access to the current production Full Self Driving software that has been publicly released which includes auto lane change, NOA (Navigate on Demand), and smart summon. When "autosteer on city streets" is released to production, the vehicle will have always include that functionality.
