Description

Meet "Rubi," one of our safest and most rugged winter mountain rentals. Packed with a heavy-duty four-wheel-drive system, “severe-snow-service” rated Michelin tires and bright LED headlights, she’s ready for anything. Rubi isn't your typical Denver rental Jeep, and we're not your typical Turo hosts. Here's why. 1) She lives full-time on Turo, and we do this full time. 2) She can be fully customized for any adventure. 3) She's meticulously cleaned and maintained. Plus, we're "car people" who truly understand and have a passion for the vehicles we rent. We understand each of their intricacies and can walk you through how to operate pretty much anything. We're also passionate about customer service, and dedicate ourselves as an on-demand resource from the time you book until the time you return. Check out our Q&A below, and feel free to reach out on Facebook or Instagram (@altimotive) for any questions before you book. We're glad you're here, and appreciate the opportunity to earn your business. --FAQs-- Q: What do I get at this price? it seems low. A: Think of our pricing model like a low-cost airline's "basic" fare. You get 100 miles per day, are responsible for cleaning and fuel, and handle your own rides to and from our location. A'la carte items such as airport delivery, post-trip cleaning, pre-paid refuel and gear/accessories are available for a nominal fee. Q: What if I need more than 100 miles per day? A: You have two options. Drive as much as you'd like and pay a reasonable fee per mile (way below the Turo average) -or- select "Unlimited Mileage" as an extra when you book. Q: How does airport delivery work? A: We offer an airport delivery experience that's convenient and compliant with Denver's new 2020 airport carshare regulations. Best of all, we live just off airport property, which helps keep our availability as flexible as possible. Q: How does this car do in the mountains? A: All of our vehicles are compliant with winter traction laws in Colorado, and have all been on several successful trips through the mountains. If you're not sure, we're always happy to answer any questions you have. Visit cotrip.org for live road conditions, cameras, closures and restrictions. Q: What does "fully-customized for any adventure" mean? A: Don't overpack or over-spend. Our mission is to reduce waste by sharing our equipment for a reasonable cost. No matter what you need, we probably have it. Bonus: It'll be pre-loaded in the car when you pick it up. No stress, no shopping, no hassle. Send us a message via Facebook/IG (@altimotive) with any questions before or after you book, or simply select individual "extras" through your Turo reservation. Once you book, we'll send you plenty more information with pickup and return specifics, common rental questions, and much more. In the meantime, send us any questions through Facebook or Instagram (@altimotive). We appreciate you!

Parking details

Our vehicles are conveniently located just off airport property, and are easily accessible via either the "A-Line" airport train or a short Uber/Lyft from the terminal. Need to park your own vehicle(s) overnight? Parking at the Light Rail station is available for just $6/day.

Guidelines

All I ask is that you *please* not smoke or vape anything in the car. And if you buy an ounce of your favorite strain, please remove it from the car as soon as you reach your destination. It’s a basic courtesy to both other renters and my own kiddos. Got pets? I do too, but Rubi isn't pet friendly. Her brother, "Mike," is though! Take a look and see if you can find him -- he's a lifted Jeep Wrangler! Please remember that any towing or off-reading is in strict violation of Turo’s policy and may incur substantial fines. If you have any questions regarding accessing a campsite or needing to drive on an unpaved road to reach your destination, please refer to Turo’s use policies.

Faqs

  • Can I go off road?
Please remember that any towing or off-reading is in strict violation of Turo’s policy and may incur substantial fines. If you have any questions regarding accessing a campsite or needing to drive on an unpaved road to reach your destination, please refer to Turo’s use policies.
  • How can I reach you with questions, changes or emergencies?
No matter what, *PLEASE* follow these steps :) 1) Send a message in the Turo app. Start it with URGENT if you need a response ASAP. 2) If it's urgent/an emergency, call Turo support directly at 415.965.4525 These two steps guarantee that Turo, Hassle-Free, and I have total visibility to your inquiry, Feel free to follow up with me directly by *text* (I often can't respond to calls quickly) with feedback, emergencies, and other items. Just make sure you sent the message through the app first :)
  • How do I add a Driver? Can they pick up the car if they're on the reservation?
Adding a driver is done entirely through the Turo app. If that driver is new to Turo, please ensure you leave a day or two for their approval. If you can't make it for pickup and you're primary on the reservation, you'll need to contact Turo support directly to cancel and re-book the reservation in your companion(s)' name. Turo requires that the primary renter be present with their own driver's license to release the vehicle.

Dan's Jeep made our trip to Colorado even better because I knew it could handle any weather conditions we would run into. Pickup and drop off was easy, the location was a quick uber ride from the airport, and the Jeep was exactly as described. The only negative thing we ran into were the front wipers. Driving through the mountains with wipers that needed to be replaced was a little scary. The lime green color was way cool and I was very impressed with how it handled. I would rent this vehicle from Dan again if we ever go back to Colorado!

Dan's response

Thank you so much for the response and, more importantly, for your feedback Bailey! While we do replace our wipers on a regular schedule, there are definitely times when they can wear out a bit earlier. We appreciate you letting us know, and we've already had them replaced for the next guests :)

First time using this alternative car rental app. It is very convenient especially at the Denver international airport. You avoid having to get on a shuttle, go to the rental car center, wait in line, and risk them telling you they are out of cars lol. Also same deal with returning the car. Much more convenient!!!!
