Car smelled but drove well for the age and mileage.

I regret to have to leave a one-star review, but I gave the owner one week to respond to a previous message and never got a reply. The car was very clean and drove great, except for misfunctioning taillights (which I didn’t realize weren’t working properly until it was dark and I was driving home). I understand that these things happen, but it does make me wonder about how consistently these vehicles are being inspected and maintained. Worse yet, however, was my experience with the Turo customer assistance line. I spoke to three different people who were all giving me different answers, and promised me multiple updates within certain time frames that never materialized. Ultimately, rather than put my faith in Turo to bail me out, I ended up just driving home with my hazard lights on. Once I was already home, I received a call from Turo telling me that assistance was on the way to meet me in Ontario (I was in Illinois, and never mentioned Ontario to anyone!).
