Range anxiety is a thing of the past with this five-seat SUV rated for 330 miles. This vehicle has 19’ wheels which provides a smoother ride and maximizes the vehicle’s range. The Model Y is practical for family trips as it has 30 cubic feet of luggage space, which is nearly double that of the Model 3. The one-pedal driving takes about 5 miles to get used to before you fall in love with the ease and convenience. Autopilot makes long drives simple and is easy to engage – just ‘double tap’ the drive stalk. You will enjoy the panoramic glass roof on long road trips, easy access to the Tesla Supercharger network, and on screen software that has games you can play solo or with others in Tesla’s Toy Box. ACCESS/KEYS – This car is delivered with remote drop-off and pick-up, meaning no waiting for the car to get to you. You will need the Tesla app to acces the car. CHARGING – Charging this car costs pennies on the dollar to fuel compared to a comparable performance vehicle. This car can use the extensive Supercharger network. Any Supercharger costs will be billed to you after the trip. Make sure to avoid idle fees at the supercharger. Once the vehicle reaches the set charge level, it needs to be unplugged immediately, or additional charges of $1 per minute will be assessed by Tesla. A home charger will be provided that allows you to plug into many free plugs at hotels, your home/VRBO. This charger uses a 110 outlet which is relatively slow, but it is recommended to use overnight if your trip is far from superchargers. CHARGE LEVEL: Please return the car with a charge level roughly equal to how you received it. Typically, this will be around 70%. If you don’t have time to recharge before your trip ends, that’s ok. Just choose the Prepaid EV Charge-only $30 per trip. With this option, you can skip the need to recharge fully. Just return the car with at least 20%. Do not let this vehicle get to 0% or 0 miles. You will be responsible for fees associated with towing the car and all costs associated with any subsequent damage. CLEANING: We take pride in the quality of our vehicles. This car is kept very clean, so please return it as clean as you picked it up. It is my goal to make sure each guest feels like they are the first guest to use the car. Please be kind and urgently wipe up liquid spills and don’t leave garbage in the car. While we love our 4 legged family members, no pets, please. SMOKING/VAPING: There is no smoking or vaping of any kind allowed in this vehicle. A $250 cleaning fee will be applied if there is physical evidence or the smell of smoke in the car. WHEELS: These wheels are very easy to curb. Please be very careful when parking near curbs to avoid contact. The cost is $150 to repair per rim which will be charged for any damage (curbing). INSURANCE: We always recommend buying at least the minimum coverage to protect yourself during your trip. If you choose to use your personal insurance, it is required that you call them to verify they will cover a TURO car-share. No one likes expensive surprises! DELIVERY: Pickup is available at a set location 20 minutes from CLT airport and 15 minutes from downtown.
