For those of you who either have or have driven an electric car, you know how smooth and responsive they are. To those of you who have not yet experienced the all-electric drive train, you're in for a treat. This Mustang Mach-E removes all hesitation that there ever was from driving an electric vehicle. On a full charge, the battery can crank out 320 miles before needing to be recharged again. That's more than most gas cars on a full tank. It's the extended range with the larger battery so you can say goodbye to range anxiety. Plug it in at the end of every day and tomorrow you'll wake up to a car that is ready to go all over again. If you happen to need a charge in a pinch, the Mach-E can charge from 20-80% in just a half hour on level three chargers (like the ones you'd find at a gas station). A 240V charger will be in the trunk as well as a 120V adapter for overnight charging. But enough about the charging - you're going to spend most of your time driving! And that's the fun part. The Mustang Mach-E has enough torque to put you back in your seat, and it will do it all the time with no complaints whatsoever. As a car person myself, I found it pretty wild at the speed it will reach in such a short amount of time with no raucous fanfare. It's classy and fast. But this just isn't a party trick car, it comes with all the luxurious finishes as well. The leather seats are some of the most comfortable I personally have ever sat in. The soft touch materials and general lack of hard plastics in the interior make you feel like you're sitting in something more special. The large vertically oriented screen in the center of the dash acts as a central hub where one controls everything from sport mode to A/C control. While it IS capable of doing one pedal driving and anti-roll with one's foot off the brake, it is set up to drive like the cars you're used to. So the transition is natural and seamless. But you can always change it if you want. When it comes to safety, there's airbags everywhere including curtains. Also, there is a 360 degree camera system that warns and shows you when you're getting too close to something. It makes reversing easier than it's ever been before. Having sat in Teslas and other electric cars before, I sometimes felt like it was too much for too little. Enter the Mach-E and you'll be immediately impressed by the atmosphere, comfort, and upscale materials. Ford did a great job, and you'll have a great time driving it!
