As a Tesla owner, renting a Tesla for travel is always convenient and practical. For this trip, I rented a car managed by a company rather than an individual host. While the staff were courteous, the cleanliness of the vehicle left much to be desired compared to rentals from private owners. The car had a strong air freshener, likely to mask unpleasant odors, but the underlying smell was so bothersome that it became a distraction throughout the trip.
On my way to Boston Airport, the unfamiliar and complex roads caused some confusion, even with navigation assistance. Despite pre-charging the vehicle to a sufficient level, I ended up using an extra 6%, returning the car with 84% battery. The company policy states that no recharge fee is applied for returns between 1% and 10%. However, they transported the vehicle back to their facility, checked the battery, and issued an invoice for a recharge fee and additional charges.
While the amount wasn’t significant for a three-day rental, it left a negative impression. I recommend keeping this policy in mind when dealing with this company.
