Quick story: This car is restricted due to it being a safety hazard and Charlie made me feel threatened when I told him about his faulty car. Long story: (I skipped parts to keep length down but where I skipped just know there were things texted that made me feel uncomfortable.) This car has something wrong with either faulty brakes or something that’s causing it to make a noise. I’m not a mechanic but if I’m taking a car up into the mountains I expect it to not make fault noises when I brake. It was a low, rumbling, sound coming from the left rear tire. I washed out the affected tire per Charlie’s instructions and it made it worse. At first, it was hard to notice on the highway drive back to my area from the airport but, as soon as we were there, driving at stop and go places made it quite evident this car was faulty. Enough for me not to keep the car after the first day. So, Charlie demanded I drive the car back to the lot I picked it up from. When I said I wasn’t comfortable with that, he told me to cancel with Turo and that’s when Turo offered a Tow service. I went ahead and scheduled that to make things easy. When I mentioned this, he proceeded to insist he know exactly where his car was. Now I was getting even more uncomfortable. It wasn’t until the next morning of the tow, I read his texts “apologizing” for barating me about his car and that he finally said he will pick the car himself and asked I cancel the tow. (If this ever happens to you. Don’t do it. Keep the tow and just let things be.) I cancelled the tow. After he picked up his car I expected a cancellation on the trip but of course he goes missing, with his car, and won’t return Turo’s or my texts or calls. Turo customer service has tried contacting Charlie and he won’t answer their calls or emails either according to Turo. Turo has been extremely helpful on my side and after taking some time to get Charlie to respond, they refunded my money. They were very helpful. Do not use Charlie Folsom’s services if you can avoid them.

Really disappointed. The car was delivered to DIA for us which was nice however when we pulled up to the car we were for sure it wasn’t the right one due to the fact that the outside was filthy. The weather had been clear with no rain or snow so just a general neglect of making sure we had a washed car. We had a business event we were attending and didn’t have time to go get it washed although we were told we could, so that was embarrassing pulling up in a dirty car that we had just rented. Also, the moment we had pulled out of the parking area we noticed a very loud grinding sound coming from the brakes, super alarming since this car was supposed to be properly maintained. We notified him and he said it was the cold weather conditions that made them sound that way, but the brakes were grinding the 3 days we rented the car. Clearly the brakes needed to be replaced due to the poor condition they were in. The communication was good on pick up and drop off however really upset about renting this BMW. We were worried about our safety the entire time.

Dead battery in key fob and couldn’t start the car. Messy with trash in the back. No washer fluid and not a full tank of gas. Also brakes were unsafe for driving. Didn’t respond to maintenance question either.
