Smoking policy violation - Neither you nor your passengers may smoke in any vehicle on Turo. Penalties range from up to $150* fee. If you return the car unreasonably dirty, you may be charged a cleaning fee of up to $250. If you fail to replace the gas before returning the vehicle, you may be charged a $10 convenience fee in addition to the cost to replace the gas. Improper return fee - you may be charged a $50 fee if you fail to respond to requests to return a vehicle, abandon a vehicle, force a trip cancellation, or for other reasons we determine. Late return fee- If you return a vehicle 1 hour or more past the trips scheduled end time, you may be charged up to $100 fee. **Personal Car Insurance Protection Plan** If you choose to decline a protection plan, you’ll be relying solely on your own applicable personal insurance coverage to cover loss or damage to the host’s vehicle. Your out-of-pocket exposure will extend to the full value of the vehicle and all related costs including claims and processing fees and appraisal costs. *Some insurance companies and credit card companies exclude coverage for peer-to-peer car sharing. It’s best to check with your insurer or your broker before making decision.*
