Recommended to bring with you from home: Rain gear, waterproof boots/shoes, dry clothes, warm weather clothes, cold weather clothes, towel if you plan on using public showers. After you get here: Food, toilet paper (if camping outside of official campgrounds), bug spray (check to see how much is in the car first - there may be enough from the last renter), firewood

  • What is included for the camping gear?

Foam sleeping pad (covers the whole floor of the tent) Sleeping bag (choice of two single or one double Northface Dolomite 20 bags) Pillows (2) Camp chairs (2) Foldout tables (one tall for cooking, one small for anything) Cooler (one for food/beverages, additional fish cooler available-let us know if you'll need it!) Coleman propane stove (one bottle of propane included) Cookware (pots, pan, plates, cups, utensils, cutting board, rags, dish soap) Growler for you to fill with your choice of amazing AK beverages (feel free to take home as a souvenir, we have plenty) French press for coffee Screened in pop-up gazebo Tarp Carabiner for hanging shoes outside the tent Bear spray (let us know if you don't know how to use) Axe and small saw Matches/lighters Cards/dice

  • How do I set up the tent?

After we pick you up at the airport or your hotel, I'll do a quick tent demo and go over the camping gear.

Exactly what we needed for our trip. Great car, comfortable and easy to setup tent and many accessories to make our camping adventure perfect. David was very nice and quick to message with any questions and worked with us on pickup/dropoff. Would definitely rent again on our next Alaska trip!

This car was perfect for our Alaskan adventure. The Subaru is great for driving to fishing, hiking, or camping spots. The rooftop tent was awesome! It rained for 4 days straight and we were dry every night. It’s quick and easy to set up. The car came with all the right camping equipment - screened in tent was great to cook without getting wet or eaten by bugs. David met us at the airport with the car and was very flexible with the drop off. Thanks, David!

David made the entire experience incredibly easy and stress-free. The Subaru along with all the rooftop tent and extra camping gear was prepped and ready to go before we arrived in Anchorage. Picking up the car was seamless, as it was waiting for us at the airport as soon as we landed- no delays. The Outback made for the perfect adventure vehicle as we explored from Denali all the way down to Seward and the rest of the Kenai Peninsula. This rental truly included everything we needed to make a week of exploring possible- including a fully stocked kitchen (pot, pan, dishes, silverware, coffee mugs, stove, water jug, tables and more), comfortable pillows and sleeping bags for the roomy and comfortable rooftop tent and other thoughtful items like a tarp, bungie cords, screened in bug tent (to keep you dry and comfortable at camp), bug spray, bear spray, hand sanitizer, disposable masks and wet wipes. There may be other vehicle rentals for exploring Alaska- but none that offer this level of amenities and convenience!

This was by far the best thing we did for our little Alaskan adventure! Not only was David super flexible and super personable, but the Tent-a-renter was AWESOME! We got into fishing spots that an RV couldn’t, the camping gear provided was perfect, and of course the tent itself was super easy to set up! Our trip wouldn’t have been the same without this rad Tent-a-renter! Thanks David for making our trip unforgettable! P.S. We always got a bunch of questions about the tent-a-renter, so be prepared to chat with people about how cool it is 😋
