I put the below guide together that outlines all you need to know about how this works.
*** BEFORE THE RENTAL ***
The Turo app:
First and foremost, you'll need the Turo app for this rental to work. if you don't have it, please download it - otherwise you won't be able to check in or out.
*** IMPORTANT INFO ***
Its important to arrive 15-20 mins before time scheduled so you can take the required pictures and inspect the vehicle.
requires the best fuel so before you return the vehicle please fill it up with nothing less then 91 (I require a photo in the trip photo download of the gas receipt where the octane is visible) any grade less then 91 octane could trigger an engine light.
Should the car be impounded for any reason, you are responsible for paying the rental fee for the period of time the car is impounded as well as any release fees.
Any toll routes will be billed once your rental is complete.
$50.00 Cleaning fee. As per all rental cars there is a NO SMOKING allowed inside the vehicles. TURO is a no smoking platform.
Fee: $50 for each hour the car is late.
Avoidance: If you see your running out of time extend the rental through the app.
Parking On Pick-Up:
Unfortunately parking on the driveway is off limits because I have a lot of ins and outs do to the rental cars.
Street parking is allowed and there a school in front of my house with parking. Sorry for any inconveniences.
This car is tracked in real time any careless or reckless use the car will be shut down immediately thru our gps system ( yes we can do that)
*** GETTING STARTED ***
Per TURO's requirements you'll need to take and upload 8 pictures.
1) A close-up of your drivers licence.
2) A photo with both your face and the driver's license (in the same picture, like a selfie)
please send these 2 photos as soon as possible, as it will help expedite the process once you are checking in the car.
*** ONCE AT THE CAR ***
3) The front of the car
4) The passanger side of the car
5) The back of the car
6) The driver side of the car
7) The interior
8) A Close-up of the gas gauge with the mileage and fuel level showing
