Insider Rewards program terms

With Insider Rewards, our new rewards program, the highest-rated and most active guests on Turo score exclusive perks and rewards for all their travels. Guests who meet the program criteria will be notified and receive their rewards through email communications.

Who qualifies for Insider Rewards?

The Insider Rewards program may be available to guests who meet the criteria for traveling and spending on Turo. On December 31, we look at your travel and spending for the last 12 months and if you meet the following criteria, you may be eligible for Insider Rewards. Don’t worry — after 2021 we plan to make this assessment twice a year so if you do not qualify on a given December 31, you get a second chance to be re-evaluated on the following July 1 (see below).

1. 20 days traveled

Guests must take one or more trips totalling 20 days during the qualification period.

2. 4.5+ star rating

Guests must have an average rating from hosts of 4.5 stars or higher.

3. $1,000 spent on Turo

Guests must spend at least $1,000 total on Turo trips. This total includes all trip totals, minus taxes, airport fees, and any amount paid using travel credit or promotions.

How often does Turo assess for Insider Rewards eligibility?

Guests are assessed for eligibility every December 31. Those who meet the program criteria for the 12-month period ending December 31 will earn Insider status and the related perks for the following year, then will be re-evaluated on the next December 31.

Those guests who do not initially qualify on a given December 31 assessment have the chance to be re-evaluated on the following July 1. To qualify on a July 1 assessment, guests must meet the same program criteria, but during the six-month period ending July 1. If guests qualify on July 1, they’ll receive Insider status and the related perks for the rest of the year, and will be re-evaluated on the next December 31 assessment.

Perks and benefits:

1. $100 promo code

Insiders receive a unique promo code for $100 off, once every year. Guests must redeem their code by entering it at checkout when booking a trip on Turo. Promo code expires on the closest December 31.

2. Exclusive discounts

Insiders will receive regular discounts only available to Insiders, delivered through email.

3. Early access to promotions

Insiders will get notified of seasonal promotions before everyone else, so you can book your pick of the litter before holiday rushes.

4. Priority support

Insiders will be placed toward the front of the queue when they email Customer Support.

5. First look at newly listed vehicles

Insiders will receive marketing communications with frequent rundowns of the freshly listed vehicles in their area. On your Account page, make sure you’ve checked the box to allow email notifications from Turo.

Terms and conditions

The Insider Rewards program operates under the terms and conditions set out below unless otherwise expressly stated (the “Program Rule”). The Program Rules govern the relationship between Turo Inc. and its affiliates (together, “Turo”) and the guests that qualify for the Insider Rewards program (“Insiders” (individually, “Insider” or “you”)), including how guests qualify for the program. To the extent necessary to administer the program, Turo may collect, use, and disclose your personal information in accordance with the Turo Privacy Policy.

All Insider Rewards benefits, offers, awards, and services are subject to availability and Turo may change the foregoing at any time without notice. Turo may terminate the Insider Rewards program, in whole or in part, with six (6) months’ advance notice to all active guests and with less than six months’ notice in any jurisdiction if required to do so by applicable law. Turo may, at its sole discretion, choose to substitute a similar program for the Insider Rewards program at any time immediately upon notice to active guests.

Except as otherwise expressly prohibited or limited by applicable laws, Turo may at any time amend, modify, or supplement these Program Rules, the structure for earning promo codes or discounts (“Rewards,” and individually, a “Reward”), with or without notice, even though such change may affect the value of the promo codes or discounts.

1. Eligibility. Qualification for the Insider Rewards program is free and available to any individual who (a) meets the criteria outlined above; (b) possesses the legal authority to agree to the Program Rules; (b) resides in a jurisdiction which legally permits participation in the Insider Rewards program; (c) is not a resident of Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, or the Crimea region of Ukraine; (d) has not been previously terminated from being a Turo guest or host.

2. Benefits. The benefits of qualifying for the Insider Rewards program are described above and subject to change.

3. Conditions.

a. One per person; non-transferable. Each individual may maintain only one Insider account. All Insider Rewards program accounts are individual and no joint or group accounts are permitted. Insider Rewards program perks and benefits are non-transferable unless expressly stated otherwise.

4. Communications.

a. All communications related to the program will be sent to the email address currently associated with your Turo account. Keep your email address current. Turo is not responsible for misdirected, lost, or unreceived mail or any consequences thereof.

b. If you contact Customer Support, Turo may ask you for certain information to verify your identity. Customer Support may monitor or record telephone calls to improve quality of service.

c. To view your status for the program criteria, you’ll be able to request a progress check via a link in the program email communications. You’ll be sent an email detailing your current number of trip days, spending activity, and star rating for the relevant qualification period. Additionally, you can check your rating, spending history, and trip history on your Profile and Trip history pages.

5. Earning perks and benefits.

a. You may earn towards your status as described above in the “Who qualifies” section.

b. Promo code expiration policy. $100 promo codes issued as part of the Insider Rewards program expire on December 31 of the year they are issued to each guest. The date of issuance is evidenced by the date of the email in which the promo code is distributed to you.

c. Other discounts and promotions distributed as part of the Insider Rewards program expire according to the terms and conditions of those promotions.

6. General.

a. You acknowledge and agree that you are subject to and will comply with the Turo Terms of service (“Terms”), which are hereby incorporated by reference and constitute part of these Program Rules. In the event there is a conflict between the Terms and these Program Rules, the Terms will control.

b. All guests who qualify for the program must still adhere to all policies, rules, and Turo community guidelines.
