Are you traveling to Salt Lake City and looking for a spacious yet economical vehicle to get you around the Wasatch Front while visiting your friends and family? Or are you a local who needs haul the kids around while your car is in the shop? Well this Odyssey is for you! This Odyssey is a little older than some others you’ll find on Turo. But it does have all the Tech that 2012 had to offer! Connect your phone via Bluetooth for your favorite playlists or podcasts, or pop in a DVD and keep the kids entertained with the rear wide screen monitor. It’s equipped with a backup camera and front and rear parking aid system so you can park with confidence. It’s also clean, reliable, easy to drive, seats up to eight and won’t bust your wallet! Whether you choose to have us deliver the vehicle to the short term parking garage at the SLC Airport before your arrival, or pick it up at a safe, well-lit retail parking lot in West Valley City, you can expect to receive a freshly washed and clean vehicle with a full tank of gas ready to go. We always do contactless key exchanges using a key lock box. So there's no need to worry if you are running a few minutes late. Because we’re not waiting! You can take the time you need. FYI, if you are on a flight that is delayed, please let us know if you can. If notified early enough, I can usually delay delivery to the airport so you don’t incur unnecessary parking fees. Speaking of airport fees, in the spirit of full disclosure and transparency, I will tell you, yes, the Salt Lake City Airport wants their cut. As a guest, if you choose airport delivery, you can expect to pay SLC a small parking fee when you exit the airport. This could be as little as $5, but should be never higher than $40. I’ll make every effort to deliver the vehicle as close to your arrival time as my schedule allows. Turo will also charge you an “Airport Fee”. This fee is collected from you by Turo and passed directly on to the SLC Airport. This is the cost of doing business at the airport and is not my fee or a Turo fee. However, this should not be confused with the “Airport delivery fee”. This fee is charged be me as the host to cover the cost of fuel and the time it takes for two people and two vehicles to deliver to the airport. Or an Uber ride to/from the airport. I do not charge this to make money. It’s just to break even while offering guest a more convenient pick-up option. However, if you'd like to Uber/Lyft or have a friend or family member who can pick you up from the airport and you want to avoid all this, you also have the option of picking up the vehicle from its home location just a quick 14 minutes away in West Valley City. I take pride in my vehicles and maintain them vigorously. I believe your experience in my vehicle will be a great one. I do all of my key exchanges contactless, meaning I am not there at the time of vehicle pick-up. This makes my pick-up and return times very flexible and convenient, but because of this contactless process, you will be required to send photos of your driver's license over the app.
Are you flexible with extensions? Returning the car early? Adjusting pick up/return time?
Yes! The vehicle will be ready for you at your pick-up time but if you need to pick it up later that is perfectly fine. We do ask that any significant changes be made in the app under the “Modify Trip Details” section - this is particularly important if you are going to be more than 30 minutes late at vehicle drop-off or if you want to pick up the car more than 30 minutes early. If you need to extend or shorten your trip that is also flexible, pending that the vehicle is available.
Do I need to clean the vehicle before return?
All we ask is that you return the vehicle in the same condition you picked it up in. We don't expect for you to go out and detail the car before return, but we do appreciate the car to be tidy upon return. For your convenience, if you do wish to clean the vehicle at any time during your trip, you may do so free of charge at any Quick Quack location. The attendant will only need the license plate number and and will guide you through the wash. The vacuums are also free.
How Does Communication Work?
Turo does require all communication to be held in the Turo app and we do ask that you please adhere to this policy. The Turo app is managed nearly 24/7 per day by myself or my partner, while my personal cell phone is not - by messaging here in the app you will get the quickest response. It is IMPORTANT that you download the Turo app and turn notifications on, otherwise you will miss important pieces of instruction for vehicle pick up.
How Do I Add an Additional Driver?
Additional drivers can be added through the Turo App. If you are having trouble, please contact Turo Customer Support.
