Started weird when Raj would rather meet in person instead of using a lockbox as was possible during these unprecedented times. From there, I was dissatisfied that I rented the car all day but was told by Raj that I only had a 1.5hr window to pick up the car before he was leaving for work. Arrived on time, and Raj met me but had a series of things to do before I was able to use the vehicle (pictures, mileage check, gas check). I totally understand this but honestly I felt like this was due to being unprepared and I didn’t need this as apart of my rented time with the vehicle. It also felt as if there was minimal or no effort to clean or prep the car. There was a jacket stuffed in between the front passenger seat and the middle storage that someone left. The smell of cigarettes and animal urine was so strong I knew I would have to drive the whole day with the windows down. You wouldn’t believe the smell coming back to the car after leaving it in the sun for a little while parking, very uncomfortable, the type of smell you get sick or in my case a headache from. The car was also given to me for an all day rental with less than 1/4 of a tank of gas. So now, after eating into my trip time with the long handoff during Covid-19, I had to rush to go fill this car up so I didn’t get stranded somewhere. I ended up putting too much into it and left the car with 1/2 a tank on return. Raj couldn’t come down to get the key when I told him I was back. Instead he sent his roommate with no mask to come get the key. Overall pretty wack first experience on my own with Turo. I have experienced great adventures through friends renting with Turo and myself using Getaround so I had high hopes. I’m not one to ever leave anything more than 5 stars on a review and keep it pushing but this all get ridiculous. Turo, you need to do better

Hank, the biggest problem with your entire review is you communicated none of your issues to me. Literally nothing. 1) you have a set pickup time. I do my job to accommodate, but I will not wait all day for you. 2) Pictures/Documentation are Turo's set process. 3) The vehicle itself was clean, but I appreciate the feedback on the smell, vehicle has since been professionally ozoned. 4) Complaining over 1/4 tank during a pandemic is just dramatic. My other reviews speak for themselves. Take care.
