All hosts BEWARE!! I typically don’t write bad reviews but this one is necessary to prevent future hosts from headaches. I accommodated demetrius at the last minute (11:30pm) at the request of a Turo support agent who contacted me directly. His original host was no longer available and it appeared that he was stuck at the airport. When he called me, he was distressed and I could hear the tears in his voice that he had a rough day. I really felt sorry for demetrius and told him to wipe his tears as I granted his trip request. After confirming his trip I read reviews from other hosts who expressed their displeasure with demetrius, but I still decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. DO NOT make this mistake. Upon picking up my car, I CLEARLY explained to demetrius the drop-off procedure and that the drop-off location would be the same as pickup. Throughout his trip, he messaged me numerous times to meet him at the airport for drop-off even though this option was prohibited at this specific airport. After daily messages and countless explanations he finally agreed to our original drop-off location. When returning my car, I didn’t see dememtrius but my neighbor alerted me that he hurried into an uber as I was coming to retrieve the keys. To my surprise, demetrius left the car below the provided gas level and filthy on the inside and out. To make matters worse, he had the audacity to dispute the cleaning fee. I was very disappointed in the guy, especially given the teary-eyed circumstances from which he came to my doorstep. Take this as a warning that demetrius is the epitome of an irresponsible guest and isn’t worth the hassle of renting your vehicle to.
