I truthfully don't really want to leave this review, but I do feel it to be necessary. When we picked the car up, Kyle said the inside was clean, but he hadn't gotten time to clean the outside. So we said it's all good and he went inside his home before we got in the car. This car was bad. From the moment we opened the doors it reeked of sweat, the steering wheel was sticky, dirt all over, spills throughout the door panels and center console, there was a bandaid in the cup holder, and a dirty sock in the back. The steering wheel clacks super bad, and truthfully feels very unsafe to drive. 15 minutes into our almost 4 hour drive to our stay in Yosemite we realized there was no A/C. Kyle did apologize for that once we dropped the car off and offered us 10% off our next trip with him. But sadly I'd love to never ride in the car again. My husband and I are literally some of the least picky people, but this was just another level of icky. I'm giving Kyle 2 stars because he genuinely did seem nice, but just felt super dishonest when it came to the condition of the car.

Unfortunately did not have a good experience. Owner was nice and communicative but the car had some serious issues. I made my reservation very early on in the week and owner confirmed. A couple hours before the start of my reservation only after me messaging first the owner let me know that he would not have time to clean the exterior of the car but that the interior was clean. No problem. However when I got to the car I found the interior to be equally as filthy as the exterior. Seats have a ton of stains. Gunk in cupholders and a bandaid wrapper and hot sauce pockets in the back. Pet hair everywhere. Then I find that the steering rack shakes and clicks while driving and turning. Then I find that AC does not work. Typically this is not an issue in the bay but I had planned a trip to la and had to drive down the 5 where it hit above 100 for good stretches. Not only that but I also drove near the current wildfires which made it so I couldn’t even open the windows either. Literal sauna. To top it all off the driver window switch only works intermittently. The rental was a good price but had I know about these issues I would have had reserved a different vehicle.

Thank you for letting me know the AC needs recharging. I will take care of this tomorrow! The car is safe and reliable but for $25 per day it is a budget vehicle. My other car is far newer and nicer which is why it is priced 50% higher. Thank you.
