Car was new, so worked just fine, but the automations used that are designed to make the process easier for the owner make the process miserable for the renter. There is a dark pattern in the required additional signup page for this car that invites you to tack on fees for insurance, gas, etc. Brought this up with the owner and was greeted with canned response analogous to “I told you everything in the subscription, if you don’t like it tou can find another car.” Sorry but i have an appointment and while yes - you did tell me about the additional sign up, you did not tell me about the additional fees. Its not obvious in the web page, but you can select no, but the whole process is unsettling for the sale of scalability. Car was covered in bird droppings when I picked it up and was too frustrated with the owner at this point to pay for a car wash out of my own pocket. In the future I will steer clear of these types of owners that mean well with the automation but lack the tact and attention to detail to keep the customer service experience at an acceptable level.
