Sean is awesome really friendly and nice, the car was awesome would definitely recommend it, and f’sure take it again

Sean was polite, on time, and had good communication regarding pickup and drop off. The car was ok. My only issue was some of the fine details of the process. He commented at start of shift that I should be charged a delivery fee but when I made the reservation I searched specifically without delivery fee. I figured he would sort this out with Turo and it doesn’t concern me. When I returned the vehicle Sean wanted to charge me a cleaning fee because the car was dirty and sand on the floor mat. When I questioned it he commented, “well you should’ve had a delivery fee and you went to the beach.” I didn’t take car to beach. The sand was from my shoes. You can’t walk around Florida without getting sand on shoes. The car was parked 95% of the trip and I drove less than 150 miles. I’m chalking this up to a learning experience being a 1st time user on Turo. One thing I didn’t like was the handoff didn’t include any inspection, pictures, walk around, etc. (I took a video on my own showing condition of car just in case there were any issues. I do the same with rental companies) the return process is much more involved with pictures. I am in Florida 5-6 times a year and would’ve loved to have a consistent alternative to a rental car company. The only benefit I see is not having to stand in line. Tips for people using Turo. Communication is key and every host is different. Before booking with Sean I asked other hosts questions about expectation for returning the car. I can understand a cleaning fee if you’re taking the car to beach, long trip, have kids that eat in car, etc. having sand on a rubber floor mat is not worthy of a cleaning charge in my opinion.

If you took a video inspection of the car then you will see that when I drop the car off it was clean all the way around in addition to that the vehicle was detailed and did not have any sand or any type of paraphernalia in the floors of the vehicle Todd don’t be salty because you had to pay a $25 cleaning fee everyone pays a cleaning fee if I bring it back dirty you can also add a post cleaning fee for $25 into your account next time you work with Turo it just won’t be with me
