Another great Trip with Nav! I like that they maintain the cars well, prompt in responses & accommodating. I forgot my keys in car but didn’t have any ways to come back n pick up. They were kind enough to bring my keys at my place. Wonderful people! Well maintained & Clean Cars! RECOMMENDED Definitely !!.

Do not rent this car in its current condition. I’ll explain. After considering several rental options, I chose this car because it was economically feasible for my situation and the location is nearby. The purpose of the rental was to celebrate my mother’s 80th birthday. I was going to rent a fancier car but opted for this one so I could spend more on her dinner and gifts. I should have canceled this rental after the first two minutes after I arrived. When I arrived, I checked in via the app. After 1 minute the host requested I call. I did and he came out a few minutes later. He informed me the car had just come back. Let me stop right here. If the car had just come back, how was he able to make it available for my reservation? What if the previous renter had extended their rental? Moving on. The host took a few pictures, then sprayed a few squirts of something and gave me the keys. He told me I didn’t need to refill the gas tank upon return but that I would be charged if I did not return it at the same level. When I asked what level, he looked inside to see what the level was. He didn’t know. Why? Because the car had just been returned and he did not checkout anything. This car was dirty inside and out and reeked of cigarette and marijuana smoke odor. The minute I sat in the car I should have immediately exited the vehicle and canceled the reservation. However, I couldn’t. There was no time to try to find another car. My 80 year old mother was waiting for me to return and pick her up for the full day we had planned. It is difficult for me to convey just how much I regret my decision. I put my life and my mother’s life in danger renting this vehicle. I went on to pick up my mother who has asthma. She immediately noticed the smoke smell. Hence, I was immediately concerned and quite embarrassed. I apologetically told her I could return the car. We both decided to continue because we didn’t want her birthday ruined. At that point, I am approximately 15 minutes into the rental. We are on our way to the expressway when I noticed the squealing brakes. Not mild but very noticeable squealing. The brakes were shot and in desperate need of repair or replacement. Once again, I felt compelled to immediately take the car back. My strong desire not to ruin my mother’s milestone birthday led me to continue. Once we entered the highway, that’s when I noticed the violent shaking. The car needs an alignment, tire replacement, or something and it needs it immediately. Now at this point, my mother and I are quiet. She can see the concern on my face. Inside, I am fighting with myself. I know I should turn around and take this car back and report this to Turo. The only reason I didn’t is out of my strong desire not to ruin my mother’s birthday. So with a dirty, smelly, dangerous car, I continued. I stayed in the far right lane and drove very slowly and cautiously. Constantly monitoring the car’s condition and praying the brakes didn’t fail. What should have been a fun and enjoyable time, was not. Fortunately we returned intact without incident. When I returned the car 23 hours and 55 minutes later, I messaged the host to let him know and got no response. After waiting 5 minutes, I called. He told me to leave the keys on the tire. I told him it was raining heavily and he said to leave the keys on the seat and leave the car unlocked. I told him I needed to talk to him and he said he would contact me later. I’d picked up the car Sunday morning, May 30, 2021 at 10 a.m. and returned the car Monday morning, May 31, 2021 at 9:55 a.m. I did not hear from the host until Tuesday morning, June 1, 2021, when I received a message via the app that the car smelled like smoke. At this point I am beyond frustrated, beyond angry. Nobody in my entire family smokes. We are a non-smoking family. I promptly informed the host that we are non-smokers and asked him to call me immediately. After waiting an hour I called him. When I told him that nobody in my family smokes, he said ok and that he wouldn’t charge me. I found that he didn’t contest this very suspicious. However, I know why he didn’t. He knew this car was dirty and he knew it smelled of smoke. The smoke smell was so embedded that it couldn’t have been from only the previous driver. I’m speculating but the car reeked when I picked it up. In retrospect, now I know why all the windows were down when I arrived to pick up the car. While speaking to the host, I informed him that he needs to remove the car from Turo until he can get it serviced. I made him aware of the brakes and shaking and that the car is dangerous. The host became defensive and told me the car goes to the Nissan dealership for routine maintenance. I find that to be unbelievable and strongly suggest Turo request proof of maintenance records. I doubt there are any. I can’t say for sure. Maybe the previous renter caused the brakes to wear down completely and made the car drive as if the wheel might come off at any moment. I sincerely doubt it. These types of mechanical issues develop over time and only get to the point they are due to neglect. Again, I strongly suggest Turo request maintenance records. I suspect there are none. As of this moment, Tuesday June 1st 2021, I have contacted Turo and am awaiting an email from a manager or supervisor. According to Turo’s chat rep, there isn’t anyone available via phone. Only chat or email. At this point, I am considering turning to social media and my local news channels. I don’t know if this is typical of Turo and its host. This was my first time using Turo. It very well may be my last. I put myself and my mother in mortal danger renting this car. I feel ashamed, embarrassed and wholeheartedly regretful. I am so thankful this didn’t end in injury or worse. I had no desire to leave a review of this nature. I wanted to wait until I spoke with the host, to give him an opportunity to do the right thing. After speaking with him, it is clear to me he plans to continue to rent this his vehicle in its current condition. Someone has to stop this. This vehicle needs to be taken off the road immediately and needs serious repairs. I hope this is an isolated issue and not typical of Turo and its host. Host like this one put us all in very serious danger.

Sir, you chose smallest & cheapest car around to celebrate respected elderly grandma’s Birthday? Really? You can’t expect luxury car convenience from a routine small commuter car. It’s not fair to blame small car for your bad plan :) Pls plan better next time. Good luck!
