A little bit about me: first and foremost, I'm a car enthusiast. Growing up, my dad owned Powerhaus, a tuning and performance upgrade shop here in Phoenix, which exclusively serviced Porsches. Yeah, he made rich guys' fast cars go even faster. Inevitably, my first car was a Porsche Boxster 986, my second: a Porsche 911 996 Cabriolet. I'm also huge on convertibles. Having spent most of my life in Phoenix, they're a no-brainer with over 300 sunny days every year. We're also blessed with plenty of mountains in every direction, with windy back roads just begging to be carved by a sports car. I also actively race primarily with NASA AZ and am fortunate to be located just three miles from Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park (formerly Firebird International Raceway) which has a whopping four road courses.
Despite my affinity for sports cars and track days, however, I'm a very responsible car owner and driver on the road. I abhor imperfections and sub-par standards in any of my vehicles, and usually tastefully upgrade them in various areas for both aesthetic and performance gains. I keep them well-maintained, sometimes a bit excessively and obsessively... but don't knock treating leather monthly til you've tried it! I've never been in an accident and I've never gotten a speeding ticket in a single one of my cars. And should you not use your blinker, consider yourself intensely judged.
My motto is drive spiritedly, yet safely. My cars are intended for just such a motorist. Everyone needs to experience the thrill and joy of a sports car. Driving is inconvenient and time-consuming, but in the right car, driving can also be dynamic and exhilarating!
TL;DR: for a host of reasons, I appreciate and love convertible sports cars, and love sharing my passion with others. If you aren't a sports car enthusiast, I'll convert you. And if you can drive a manual, pick my Miata - it's my favorite car, an incredible value, and you won't regret a second in it.
