Description

Drive the future of cars, available in the present. See why Top Gear's James May called the Tesla Model S the "new American muscle car." Driving an electric vehicle is a whole new driving experience - quiet, smooth, instant power, no shifting gears, no emissions. Drive the electric vehicle leader since 2012, designed and built in the USA by a 100% American car company. Oh, and did I mention this is the fastest car you've ever been in? The P is for Performance, and the D is for Dual-Motor (All wheel drive). This Model S P100D also has the Ludicrous Mode performance upgrade, so make sure you put your head back on the head restraint before you mash the accelerator. 0-60 in 2.6 seconds is a new experience that's guaranteed to put a smile on your face. But it's not just fast, with AWD, instant torque, and a super-low center of gravity, the car handles amazingly well. On the technology front, it is of course fully loaded. Heated seats all around, cooled front seats, enormous touch screen media and navigation display, self-parking, smart radar cruise control, Ultra High Fidelity sound system, Bluetooth, streaming audio, Tesla's "Auto Pilot" with "Full Self Driving" package has some great driver aids. The car will ALMOST drive itself (BUT YOU MUST ALWAYS PAY ATTENTION AND KEEP YOUR HANDS ON THE WHEEL READY TO TAKE CONTROL - IT'S NOT PERFECT!). Don't worry, I'll be there to give you an introduction to the car and explain all the ins and outs. Get ready for a totally different driving experience!

Faqs

  • How do I charge the car?

https://www.tesla.com/support/charging You can charge from any standard 110v outlet (SUPER SLOW), or a 240v outlet with an adapter. You can charge from any Tesla Supercharger or Destination Charger. You can charge from any Level II (non-Tesla) charger, such as ChargePoint or Electrify America (third-party subscription, membership, and/or payment may be required). Do not charge the car past 90% unless you are on a road trip. The charge limit is pre-set at 90%, but you can change it if needed.

  • How do I charge at a Supercharger?

https://www.tesla.com/support/charging You will be charged for Supercharging after your trip. Tesla charges vary by location, but typically it's $0.26 per kilowatt-hour (A full charge would be $26). Please do not charge the battery to 100% unless you are on a long trip. For daily use, charging to 80% or 90% is requested.

  • How do I clean the car?

If needed, cleaning supplies are in the frunk. Vacuum the car and use the cleaning wipes on the interior. DO NOT USE WIPES ON DISPLAY SCREENS. Only use a dry cloth (in the glovebox) to wipe the screens if needed. If you need to wash the car, please use a touchless car wash.

  • What about child seats?

I do not have child seats to loan you. If your child needs a child's seat, you must bring it with you. The car has ISOFIX latches in the two outboard rear seats.

  • How can I learn more?

The best place to learn about the car is the owner's manual, here: https://www.tesla.com/sites/default/files/model_s_owners_manual_north_america_en_us.pdf Some quick videos from Tesla here: https://www.tesla.com/support/model-s-videos There are also HUNDREDS of video reviews, tips, and HOWTOs available on YouTube.

  • What is the range?

The rated range is over 300 miles, but of course that varies with the application of your right foot. Realistic highway range is 250 miles.
