  • What do I need to bring when picking up the car?

    Bring your permanent driver’s license when you come to pick up the car. If you have a temporary license and want to verify that it will be valid for your trip, contact us at support.turo.com. Your host cannot give you the car if you do not present them with a valid license.

  • What if I get into an accident?

    The Turo insurance card is located in the glove box. Please report all accidents to Turo as soon as possible. Always obtain the following information of each driver, passenger, and witness: -Name -Address -Phone number -Name is insurance company and policy number from all vehicles involved If possible please take pictures and/or video Call Turo at 1-415-965-4525 for 24/7 customer support

  • Is roadside service available?

    Yes, please call 1-415-965-4525 for 24/7 roadside assistance

  • Can someone else drive the car?

    If you want someone to help you with the driving, you’ll need to add them as an additional driver. Secondary drivers must: • have an account and be approved to drive on Turo • access the vehicle only with primary driver present • drive only with the primary driver present •never have access to the primary driver's account information ‼️If you give your phone, account information, or other access to the secondary driver to allow them to drive the car without you, we’ll hold you responsible for any damages and may remove you from Turo.‼️

  • What do I do if I get a ticket or toll road ticket?

    You’re responsible for paying any bridge or road tolls. Notify your host if you received a ticket or toll during your trip. As long as the ticket is not a moving violation or photo ticket, pay the full cost immediately. If you notify Turo and host that you’re going to pay a ticket or toll, and you follow through and do so, Turo won’t charge you any extra fees.

  • Can I modify/make changes to my trip?

    If you’d like to change your trip length in any way -- start or end your trip earlier or later than originally scheduled -- you can request to do so. You can submit a change request before your trip begins or once it’s in progress. If your trip is in progress, you must submit a request for an earlier or later return time before the trip ends.

  • How do I put the top down/up?

    Step 1: You must position the partition in the trunk Step 2: On the left hand side of the steering wheel you will see an image of the car with the top down. Continue to hold the button down until it says completed on the dash Step 3: For the top to come up, continue to pull the button up until it says completed on the dash

  • Why is the car being delivered to the Turo Valet Lot and not LAX?

    That is a great question! Turo currently does not have a contract in place with airports for hosts to deliver the car curbside for you. If hosts were to deliver the car curbside at LAX, we will be greatly fined (and you may be too - it depends on the officer issuing the ticket). (Also, there is a lot of security and police officers patrolling the airport. They are very strict about pick up and drop off. They issue tickets if you are taking too long to pick someone up or off) To avoid this risk, Turo will reimburse you for your Uber/Lyft to the Turo Valet Lot.

  • How can I connect my phone to the car?

    There are 2 ways to connect your phone: USB output - You can connect your USB cord in the middle console Bluetooth - Click on the media button on the left hand side of the screen. You will see a few tabs appear on the screen and click Bluetooth to connect. If you are unable to connect to Bluetooth please try to delete any other names that may be still connected

  • What do I do if my flight is delayed?

    If your flight changes or is cancelled, let your host know through Turo messaging. Once you know your new arrival time, request a trip change via your Trips tab.

  • Do I have to pay for parking/valet?

    Yes, guests are responsible for parking unless stated otherwise by host
