There are elements of the Versa that are good: a low cost of ownership, good passenger and cargo space for a subcompact car, and a better-than-average reliability score. However, its underpowered engine, low-rent cabin materials, and poor safety performance make it tough to recommend. The front-wheel-drive Nissan Versa comes with a 109-horsepower four-cylinder engine. Depending on the trim level, the Versa comes with either a five-speed manual, a four-speed automatic, or a continuously variable automatic transmission. Models with the CVT deliver the best acceleration, but no Versa model is particularly quick on the highway. What it lacks in power, however, it makes up for in fuel economy. With the CVT, the Versa returns 31 mpg in the city and 40 on the highway. The Versa’s tight turning radius makes it easy to maneuver in small spaces, and its ride is fairly pleasant. Still, rivals like the sporty Ford Fiesta have livelier handling.

This car was very uncomfortable and I could not accelerate on this vehicle. This car is not meant to go on the freeway at all and if you would like to rent something in town this is a good car for just that. It’ll only get you from point a to point B. I would not take this car out of the city at all. Every time you try to accelerate the car swerves.

I appreciated Anthony's prompt replies and when the radiator went out, he was quick to get it fixed. I also appreciated the discount he was able to give to pay back a bit of my time and efforts that all took to get it fixed. I have rented a handful of cars on Turo and I felt this car wasn't as top-notch as I've experienced in the past. It's pretty obvious the structure of the car is past its prime thus I find the price a bit higher than it ought to be for what is being offered. I say that because after it snowed, my luggage was partly wet from being in the trunk and the front bumper has seen better days too (which is why you can't see it in the picture here). The heater worked really well, I appreciated the bluetooth, cruise control & back up camera. The car did make it back and forth from Columbus to Indy, twice. The car engine does drive at a higher rpm, which is apparently normal for this type of engine. For the drop off, I had to wait a bit before I got ahold of someone - to find out that no one was coming. I was just to leave the key and car unlocked. Maybe it was in the Turo details and I missed it but that info would have been nice to know instead of wondering who was coming to collect the keys. Overall, Anthony is a really nice guy and I hope his business goes well so that he can get better cars in the future!

The service and communication were great. I requested a change to the first vehicle and he quickly accommodated my request with another vehicle.
