Car ran beautifully. I rented car for nearly 3 months. Pickup and Dropoff locations were safe and secure. Host was great, excellent communication. Will rent from again

Pros: Let me just say aside from my experience I’d probably book with this host again as long as the same options were available which I’d consider as perks for my situation. This car had unlimited mileage usage, is great on gas and a 2024. I booked same day, last minute and the process was fast and easy.
Cons: 1) I was given the incorrect license plate number even reached out to confirm and was assured it was correct and the car should be there so was circling this huge parking lot of cars for 10 mins before I was finally told I was given the incorrect plate number.
2) Drove the car for 15 mins and then smoke started coming out the tail pipe, a lot of it. My husband and I assumed some oil or liquid leaked nothing concerning until the car literally started to lag and jerk out of no where. I had my 2 year old in the back and this happened in the express way.
The host did provide another car which isn’t posted and was very easy to get in contact with. Unfortunately, we were in a rush, fortunately only 10 mins from the drop location. The host provided another car, he also allowed us additional time past the posted drop off time to make-up for the time during which we the car started acting up which was needed as we ended up late for our business matters due to those issues.
