This baby was born June 19, 2019, and comes complete with Full Self Driving. See what a Standard Range+ Tesla M3 can do, in style :) This trim is the world record holder for the most efficient production vehicle in the world today, but you would not know it from the torque. Stream your favorite stations over LTE with Tesla Radio and Spotify built-in, or use Theater mode to watch Netflix/Youtube/Hulu anywhere under a full glass roof. Arcade mode also available, you will find a USB controller in the console. View the HD backup camera with side repeaters [while driving], or Google Maps with optional satellite view/traffic info on the crisp 15" touch screen. Not a standard color, this is a color changing vinyl wrap called Fresh Spring from Avery [there will be a quizz]. It looks very unique, and protects the midnight silver metallic paint underneath. All windows are tinted for maximum comfort and UV/glare/stare protection. The whole car is ceramically coated adding some shine to the otherwise matte wrap, and a layer of sun/chemical protection. As this is an EV, please keep in mind if you reserve it with under 24 hours warning, it may not be topped off when you get it. Please refrain from dropping below 10% charge (25 mi) as this can damage the battery. Try to keep it above 50 miles, as most auxiliary systems (such as sentry mode) are disabled at this range. Charging daily is recommended by Tesla. I am happy to answer any questions you may have at any point during your trip. How and how often should I charge the car while I'm renting?
Please do not discharge below 10%. Tesla recommends charging daily to 90% . You have 3 options, from fastest to slowest (10%-90%): - (~45 minutes) Tesla Supercharger - for costs and details, please read the next FAQ - (~ 7 hours) Non-Tesla charging station - The car includes an adapter for most (if not all) lvl2 non-Tesla charging stations, kept in the driver's door pocket. These stations can be found using the cars navigation system under the charging section or the Plugshare app. - (~ 20 hours) The included wall charger - The standard wall charging kit will be included with the car and kept in the rear trunk. This charger will work in any standard wall outlet and is perfect for garages. Please be sure to pick up the car as soon as it finishes at the Supercharger. If the car is left after charging completes my account could be charged idling fees and I'll have to ask for these back at the end of your trip. Details on how Tesla Superchargers deal with idling can be found here: https://www.tesla.com/support/supercharger-idle-fee
Superchargers?
-Tesla currently charges ~25 cents per kwh, which translates to about $10 to go from 10-90% . -Avoid idle fees ($0.50+/minute) by making sure to move the vehicle as soon as charging completes. -I will send a reimbursement request through Turo after the trip for the exact amount charged to my account by Tesla. Not all superchargers are created equal. Most around here are V2, which gives them 150kw/hr max output. This will get you charging at 300-600 miles an hour, although i have seen spikes as high as 800mi/hr on road trips. This speed will depend on a couple of factors however, and about 300mi/hr is a reasonable expectation. 1: Most super chargers are split into A/B pairs that share output. So if someone is charging at 1A, you should avoid 1B. 2: Temperatures effect the battery charge capacity greatly. Shoving a bunch of energy into a cold battery can damage it, and so if you plot a course to a supercharger using the car's navigation, it will begin pre-heating your battery in preparation. Winter weather will affect charging speeds also. 3: Your State of Charge is another factor. Below 30% is where you will see the quickest charging (assuming a warm battery), and it slows down considerably after 75%.
