Description

Life is too short to drive boring cars. You'll enjoy this 2011 M3 V8 hardtop convertible. Enjoy the perfect mix of power and luxury and feel what true German engineering has made. The sounds that come from this car are incredible, and it turns heads all the time. It can seat four, but it's really for just two people. Luggage is very limited due to the convertible, but it's a fantastic drive and handles like a boss. Nothing on this car is cheap, and they don't make them anymore like this. Per Edmunds.com; "The 2011 BMW M3 is perhaps the perfect all-around car for enthusiasts. From track-day shenanigans to the daily commute, the M3 does it all with aplomb. There is a sports car that doesn't look like a sports car. It has too many seats, and one body style has too many doors. It has a usable trunk. You could drive it to Kansas in complete comfort. And yet the 2011 BMW M3 has a 414-horsepower V8. It goes from zero to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds. It stops from 60 so quickly that your eyes may find themselves on an outbound journey from their sockets, and it sticks in corners with the tenacity of super glue. The M3 truly is the sports car for people who still need the practicality (and/or anonymity) of a regular old sedan, coupe or convertible. Of course, this wolf in sheep's clothing nature is not new to the M3, which has been kicking other sports cars in the teeth since the 1980s. The car's free-revving engines have always been a big part of that, and this latest M3 is the first (and likely the last) to feature a normally aspirated V8. Essentially the M5's V10 with two cylinders removed, this manic 4.0-liter eight-cylinder sings a glorious wail at full throttle all the way up to its sky-high redline of 8,400 rpm. The M3 story isn't all about the engine, though. The ultimate "ultimate driving machine" must go around corners, and the M3's brilliantly balanced and capable chassis gets the job done. There's a level of communication and involvement with the M3 that makes you feel in complete control, and it's one that's increasingly being lost in the new world of electric power steering and selectable driver settings." Pros Sublime high-revving V8, otherworldly handling, agreeable ride, and the convertible's sleek retractable hardtop. Cons Limited interior storage, sedan's relatively cramped rear seat. Some noise from it being 11 years old and a convertible exist. You can have the emblem without the experience, or you can rent this 2011 BMW M3 and have a great experience with the status a BMW gives you. More Features: - Convertible hard top - Comfort Access (Keyless Entry) - Heated Front Leather Seats - Sirius XM - GPS Navigation - Bluetooth It is the Ultimate Driving Machine! If you're familiar with this car, then your choice is easy; however, if this car is new to you, it will make your vacation & travel extra special, and you'll find out what you've been missing! This is my favorite car to drive right now, so treat this car with some TLC. 🔸Others have left this car in great shape. Guidelines

+++++ Warning ++++++ Please allow the car to warm up before any spirited driving. The yellow bar on the RPM monitor will slowly drop as the oil heats up. WE WANT THAT. * No smoking, Premium fuel only (91) * Expectations are that pick-up and drop off don't change without approvals * Gas should be left at the same level as it was picked up with. Otherwise, fees may apply * Please return the car clean? If not, purchase the post-trip cleaning. This car is spotless and does not go through any car wash. I get this car professionally detailed for $600 quarterly, so this car is just like new. Acceptable cleaning methods: A hand wash (who's got time for that), a touchless wash with no pads/rollers touching the car as they will scratch the paint, and I don't want to charge you for that or just pay for the post-trip cleaning if needed.

Faqs

  • How do I put the car in Drive?

To put the car in drive push the control knob to the right. Dash should show D1. If you see just 1 then that's in manual mode and you can get back to automatic by pushing the shift knob one more time to the right. You should see D1 in the dash.

  • How do I park the car?

Great question. Come to a full stop. Put the car in N for neutral. Raise the eBrake and power the car off using the start button. The center console should read P for park. That's it. Contact me if you have questions.

  • How do I reverse?

Take the shifter and go to the left and up to put the car in Reverse. It should show R in the center of the dash just to the right of the speedometer.

  • How do I work the convertible?

1st you must have the guard down in the trunk. This allows the top to sit in the back. In the center console, there is a button with a top logo. Push that down until you have the top all the way back down, and you hear a noticeable click. In the center of the dash, you will not see the red warning light on the top. Please do not attempt to operate the car (drive) with the vehicle in the warning light mode as it's expensive to fix. The operation works the same in reverse, and the red warning light must be clear before driving. Otherwise, you could damage the top, and once again, it's expensive to fix. If you have a problem, reach out to me on Turo or call if you need.

  • How do I add a Bluetooth phone?

Click Menu, then Telephone, and follow the prompts to pair. https://youtu.be/DEecsjtVlMc

  • Can others drive the car?

Yes, multiple guests can drive the car you book on Turo, as long as they are all approved to drive. The primary driver (whoever booked the car) can add additional drivers with no fees or additional charges. Only the primary driver can request to add drivers; Turo hosts cannot do it for you. We encourage you to request to add additional drivers before your trip starts, though guests in the US and Canada can request to add a driver while a trip is in progress. To speed up the process, have your additional driver create a Turo account and get approved to drive before you request to add them. All drivers must have a valid driver’s license and meet the age requirements for the car you’ve booked. You can request to add drivers via the “Trips” tab in the Turo app without additional driver charges or extra costs.

Car was super clean and everything worked except the EDC. The button was broken during the previous trips cleanup. Other than that, what a blast. The raw V8 NA sound is one of a kind. This car needs to be warmed up before being driven for maximum fun.
