How do you introduce a legend? The BMW E46 M3 debuted twenty years ago and nearly every enthusiast has a story about it – either driving one or lusting after one. The real joy of driving this 2005 model car is in the steering feel and suspension tuning. BMW’s renowned hydraulic steering is heavy, but quick. The steering wheel is substantial, but never cumbersome, and provides good road feel through the re-tuned, M-specific suspension. The car truly feels special as you feel it out – model specific struts, springs, and sway bars work in tandem with the quick steering to truly reward good driving. The Famous S54 Engine Numbers aren’t really the headline – the S54 inline-six offers up 333 hp and 262 lb ft of torque in this iteration. The real drama comes from the powerband – with peak torque coming in around halfway up the tach at 5000 rpm, and all the power showing up at just shy of the S54’s 8000 rpm redline. 1.) When you return the vehicle, be sure to park in the same section of the garage. Stamford Station Garage at 43 Station Place Stamford CT 06902 Basement Level – Section ORANGE LL 2.) Ensure the key is securely locked in the lockbox when you complete the check-out process. You must press the “clear” tab > followed by the lockbox code > pull down and hold the silver latch to close the door fully, so it locks. NEVER LEAVE THE KEY IN UNLOCKED LOCKBOX 3.) The keycard to enter/exit the garage is mounted on the windshield. Pull up to the gate and wait 5-10 seconds for the gate to open. These gates are notoriously “finicky” Sometimes; you need to pull off the keycard from the windshield and wave around with your hand to get the gate to open. In the unlikely event, the gate refuses to open, you will, unfortunately, need to take the keycard to the front office, and they will reset it for you. (NEVER TAKE TICKET FROM VENDING MACHINE – DOING SO DISABLES THE KEYCARD) 4.) Strictly enforced “NO SMOKING POLICY” If there is a smoke scent in the vehicle, you will be charged a $50 fine and banned from Turo. If there is smoke debris evidence (i.e., ash, cigarette butts, packaging material, lighters, marijuana, cigars, cigarettes, etc.), you will be charged $150 and banned from Turo. 5.) If you do not return the vehicle with the same gas level at the beginning of the rental, you will incur the cost of fuel plus a $10 convenience charge. 6.) There is an e-zpass transponder in the vehicle for tolls. If you incur toll charges, you will be invoiced for the exact amount through Turo after your rental completes. 7.) If you need roadside assistance (flat tire, battery, accident), contact Turo Roadside Assistance at 415-965-4525. Also, contact your host to inform him of the situation. It stands for Sequential Manual Gearbox and was touted as “Formula 1 inspired” – a paddle shifted manual transmission that replaces a clutch pedal with a little robot (an electro-hydraulic pump) that does the legwork for you.

Yes! This car is conveniently located at the Stamford Train Station Parking Garage. Whether you are taking the metro north or taking a bus, this location cannot be any more convenient to you aside from doorstep delivery which we do offer! For those of you taking an uber, Stamford Station is directly off exit 7 on I95.
This car is contact-less check-in?
Yes! Again for your convenience, this car has a lockbox on the driver's side door containing the key to the vehicle. This way, you can show up on your own schedule without having to meet anyone. Text me a selfie of yourself holding your driver's license up to your face, and I will text you the code to the lockbox. Returning the vehicle is as simple as checking in.
I want to get the car earlier. Is that possible?
Yes! It is totally possible. Here is the thing. You are only insured for the time slot of your reservation. So you need to modify the time/date in the Turo app > I will get notified > I will "approve" the change and you are good to go.

Yes, I'm serious. Actually, Turo is even more serious. As an ex-smoker, I am empathic. Smoking in cars is the best. However, it leaves a smell. Correction, it leaves an unpleasant smell. Smokers and Non-Smokers alike find the smell of stale smoke in a car repulsive. It takes time and money to remove that smell. If you smoke, you will be fined $150 by me and banned from Turo. No joke. It sucks for everyone.
