Description
The Miata is the most successful sports car ever, mostly because it's been produced continuously for 30 years now! Loved around the world! Great stereo, and amazing number of smiles per gallon. Good fuel economy too :) The car is remarkably stable on the road and has a feel far more solid than it looks. It has a strong and responsive 2.0L rear wheel powertrain, and makes a lovely sound when revving. The 6 speed automatic transmission is surprisingly smooth and downshifting is not jerky at all. Paddle shifters make driving an automatic, well, feel a bit manual - if you want. This is a straightforward, no nonsense fun sports car. As Jay Leno says - Fun is not going fast, but going swiftly! It holds two carry-ons. Trunk is very small. Just barely and not big ones by any stretch of the imagination. This is a roadster!

Good, clean, fun to drive. Only issue was that the pick up location was not as advertised which meant it was further from the airport.

The car was a joy to drive and ideal for roadtrips as it is planted and smooth at highway speeds. Pickup location is great being just outside SFO, a 10 minute rideshare trip away.
C.J. is accommodating and responsive, I made a few adjustments to the rental time with no issues including a very last minute extension.
The interior was clean and comfortable. I’m 5’10” and had plenty of space. There was a phone mount already setup along with a single USB-A port to charge your phone. The CD player, radio, and AUX input work fine but the speakers are blown out on the driver side, only noticeable at very loud volume. The convertible top is very quick and easy to operate.
I would highly recommend you bring your own USB port with 2 slots so the passenger may also charge their phone. Bring your own aux cord and one of those 2in1 charger/audio adapters for the best experience - if you use an iPhone.
My only gripe that is neutral at best is the steering can feel stiff at first. You quickly get used to it and it becomes normal. Maybe new power steering fluid would help but it is a 2010 after all.
