  • How do I supercharge?
To find the nearest Tesla Supercharger, look for the red lightning bolts on the Tesla map inside the vehicle on the touchscreen display, or you can navigate to: https://www.tesla.com/supercharger When you arrive at the Tesla Supercharger: 1. To enable fastest charging rates, seek an empty pair of stalls. 2. Reverse into the stall. 3. Grab the cord at the station. 4. Press the button on the cord's handle while it's near the charge port, opening it. 5. Plug in, and the vehicle will charge (automatically billing me.) Tesla Superchargers average a charging rate of 250-300 mi/hr, but I have seen it go past 700 mi/hr. ¡ATTENTION! "Idle time" at Tesla Superchargers will result in fees (leaving the Tesla plugged in at Supercharger while battery is 100%.) If these fees accumulate during your trip, you will be billed after. The rate is $0.50-$1.00/minute for idle time. If the car is moved within 5 minutes, the fee is waived.
  • How does the Toll Pass work?
The Toll Pass works on every toll road in Washington. Attached to the windshield, the 'Flex Pass' has a slider, allowing you to switch between TOLL mode and HOV mode. When you have enough people in the car to travel toll-free in the I-405 express toll lanes or the SR 167 HOT lanes, switch the pass to HOV mode. If you don't qualify to ride toll-free, set your pass to TOLL mode to pay your toll at the lowest rate. If Toll Fees accumulate during your trip, you will be billed after.
  • What are the carpool rules for toll facilities?
I-405 Express Toll Lanes between Bellevue and Lynnwood: The following carpool requirements are in effect for the I-405 Express Toll Lanes between NE 6th St in Bellevue and I-5 in Lynnwood. Weekday peak hours: 3+ people in the vehicle (5-9 a.m. and 3-7 p.m. Monday-Friday) Weekday off-peak hours: 2+ people in the vehicle (9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday) The I-405 express toll lanes are open to all vehicles under 10,000 lbs. GVW toll-free 7 p.m.-5 a.m. Monday-Friday, on weekends, and on the following holidays (according to WAC 468-270-120): New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. SR 167 HOT Lanes between Auburn and Renton: To ride toll free, you need to have 2+ people in the vehicle. To travel toll-free as a carpool on SR 167 HOT lanes you do not need a Good To Go! pass. Solo drivers using the SR 167 HOT lanes must have a Good To Go! pass to pay the toll. Vehicles over 10,000 lbs. GVW are prohibited from using the SR 167 HOT lanes. SR 520 and Tacoma Narrows Bridge: On SR 520 and Tacoma Narrows Bridge, carpoolers are not exempt from paying the toll.
  • When are tolling hours?
Tolls are only collected at the following times. Everyone can drive for free (no pass needed) at all other times: I-405 express toll lanes: 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday SR 167 HOT lanes: 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week
