Description

Rare PERFORMANCE Model 3. 0-60 mph in less than 3 seconds! Free Supercharging, up to the mileage included for the rental period! (Does not include idle fees if you leave the car in a Supercharger stall after it is done charging: Tesla charges 50 cents per minute if the stalls are at least 1/2 full, or a $1.00/minute if the stalls are completely full. At the end of your trip we will request reimbursement from you for Supercharger idle fees and/or for charging beyond the mileage included per the rental term. Know that charging a Tesla is about 1/4-1/3 of what you’d expect to pay for comparable gasoline miles. Please return with at least a 50% charge to avoid a recharging fee. Brilliant white interior, beautiful red exterior, paint protective film wrapped head-to-toe, all-weather mats, tint, and overhead sun shades: people say this is like driving a spaceship from the future! Now with glossy black c-pillar and chrome delete!!

Faqs

  • How do you unlock the car?

By using a credit-card sized "key" that sits on the center console in a little silicone tray when you are driving. You also need a PIN # to operate the car. I'll give you the PIN # on delivery.

  • How many miles can I drive before having to re-charge? How long does it take to charge it?

The car has a rated range of 310 miles with a 75kwatt battery pack. HOW YOU DRIVE IT will greatly effect the range, however. Drive like a grandpa and you'll get better mileage. Drive it fast, and you'll get less mileage before having to charge it. As far as time it takes to charge: if the battery is about 1/2 way depleted, it takes about 30-40 minutes to charge it back up to 90%, or around 279 miles of charge. If it is nearly 100% depleted, it takes about an hour to an hour & ten minutes to charge it back up to 90%. Keep in mind that this is at the Tesla Supercharger stations, with higher amperage and voltage than the Destination chargers. "Destination" chargers are those Tesla-specific chargers located at hotels or other businesses, and these will typically add about 25-44 miles of range per hour to the car, thus taking much longer than the Tesla Supercharging stations.

  • How much will it cost me to charge your car?

If you use the Tesla Superchargers, it won't cost you anything. Just plug in, charge up, and get on your way. You'll be using my account. Presently my account has free Supercharging miles because people have used my referral code to buy their own Tesla. If you've used my car as an extended test drive, feel free to use my referral code. It could give both you and I free Supercharging miles! My code: https://ts.la/jason86630

  • Is it OK to smoke or vape in your car? What about pets?

Sorry, no smoking or vaping, and no pets. Charges for smoke or vapor-vape removal will be passed on to the user, and they are costly. This is a brand new Performance Model 3!

  • Can I put it in "Track" mode?

No. Absolutely not. Track mode is not street legal. Any use of Track mode will result in a charge for replacement tires at $345 apiece.

  • Should I charge it to 100%?

No. Charging to 100% is not healthy, long-term, for the battery. You should charge to 90% (279 miles of range) and no more. Likewise, you should never deplete all the way to 0%. Another reason to not charge to 100% is that the car converts kinetic energy back into electricity for the battery when slowing down. If the battery is at 100%, there is no place for this extra electricity to be stored. So the car is actually more efficient when only charged to 90% due to the regenerative braking / energy recapture system.

  • What if I get a flat tire?

I've insured the tires at Discount Tires. I also have a spare tire in my garage. If it is a slow leak, taking the car to any Discount Tires location will allow them to warranty repair or replace the tire. If it is not a slow leak, then contact me as a first option or contact Tesla roadside assistance as a second option. Tesla roadside assistance can be found through the car's touchscreen.

  • How much can fit in the front trunk (the "frunk")?

My kiddos call it the "food trunk," because a Costco pizza fits perfectly in there. As far as what else will fit: well, I've discovered that baggage about the size that fits in overhead bins on an airplane will fit fairly well, usually. BUT PLEASE BE CAREFUL CLOSING THE FRUNK LID. It is aluminum, and it will bend. Pressing gently with the palm of you hand directly over the Tesla "T" until it clicks closed is a good way to close it. A bad way to close it is with both hands spaced a few feet apart. You need to be very careful not to do close it improperly because it will bend or worse, crease.

  • Where do I charge it?

Charge for FREE at any Tesla Supercharger, using my account! Just plug it in, charge it, and go on your way!! Please return with at least a 50% charge or face a $25 re-charging convenience fee.

Jason was a perfect host. He made the entire booking so convenient, provides very useful info about the car, everything you might need for the rental and is probably one of the nicest people you'll meet on Turo. His performance Model 3 is absolutely gorgeous and immaculately kept. I would not hesitate to book with Jason if you're looking for a one of a kind Tesla PM3 here in the PHX area.
