There are no outside door handles. The windows don't roll up. The exterior and driver's throne show typical signs of wear. But you won't care about any of that as you rev the ten-cylinder, 400-horsepower engine. Because you don't drive this car... you just hang on. This first-generation Viper has dangerous acceleration and no anti-lock brakes. Before handing you the key, you must demonstrate that you can drive it around the block safely and handle its manual (stick) transmission. You will also need to tell me whether you want the hard top on or off, as it must remain this way for the duration of your trip. (It is too difficult for new drivers to install or remove.) The windows can be removed at any time and stored in the trunk. The car has virtually all factory-installed parts, except for an after-market Bluetooth radio in the dash that can connect to your phone. The cigarette lighter houses a USB adapter for charging your accessories. Refill with premium gas only.

If you are thinking about renting this car - do it! This is the legendary Viper at it's rawest, and a hero that you should meet. Still packing impressive performance over 30 years later, and head turning looks and presence. I had a great weekend driving this alongside my personal car, a 2001 GTS. It does show its age in a few places, and we did some troubleshooting during our trip that should be taken care of in time for its next outing. Thanks for hosting this car for enthusiasts to experience and enjoy Trevor, and looking forward to seeing it out and about.

The car was really cool. It was in pretty good condition too. But the experience was dampened a bit because sometimes when coming to a stop, the engine would stall. The car definitely needs some maintenance to be 100%.
