Description

Tesla Model S P90D (Performance Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive) - Fully LOADED with AutoPilot, FREE Supercharging, carpool stickers, and more! A driving experience like no other! Renting a FULLY LOADED Tesla is the only way to FULLY experience the Tesla lifestyle (before committing to a purchase). I’ve rented quite a few Model S’s, 3’s, and X’s on Turo and ultimately decided that the Model S P90D with Autopilot (a must have), would be my next car! There’s no better person to ask questions than a car guy turned Tesla enthusiast/owner. I look forward to sharing what I’ve learned with guests! Feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @Tesla_Peter Now onto THE CAR- Performance All-Wheel Drive, 0-60 mph in 3 seconds! That’s sportsbike times in a four-door full-sized sedan!! Insane!! (If you’d prefer the sportsbike experience, try www.PeterYamaha.com) 253mi range (EPA), 248mi rated. As this is a Performance dual motor AWD model, expect a real world range of 200mi or less with “spirited driving”. Autopilot with convenience features, a MUST HAVE for long trips or stop-n-go traffic. This is driver-assist cruise control with auto lane keeping and changing, however, the driver is required to be alert and ready to respond to road hazards, traffic signs, sharp turns, red lights, etc,. Lane keeping availability will vary depending on road conditions. Highway use is best until you become more comfortable with Autopilot. FREE Unlimited Supercharging. Take a break while charging the car FOR FREE at any Tesla Supercharger Station. The on-board maps will identify them, display stall availability, and provide calculated navigation. California Clean Air Vehicle Decals - allows the use of HOV (carpool) lanes as a single occupant. Brake Hold, while at a complete stop, at a red light for example, firmly press on the brake pedal to enable Brake Hold. Now you can let off the brake and it will continue to hold. Afterwards, simply press the “gas pedal” 😆 to go! Smart Air Suspension. I typically raise the suspension level to high or very high, depending on road conditions, in order to avoid damage to the car. This is VERY handy when parking, to avoid smashing the front bumper lip into the invisible parking blocks. Set to very high and watch the parking sensors as you park. It will then save the location and automatically adjust for that location next time! Speaking of parking, Autoparking! Drive slowly past the parking space, it must be in-between two cars, shift into reverse and select Autoparking. Sit back and let the car park itself - press the brake to disengage. Supports both Parallel AND Perpendicular parking! Regenerative braking, automatically slows the car down while coasting and recharges the battery with that energy. Heated front Next Gen seats, perfect for those chilly southern california nights. All Glass Panoramic Sunroof. Enjoy the views! Front and Rear Trunks with Rear Split-Folding Seats. Tons of storage space. Tesla 19” Black Cyclone wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires. Providing a better ride experience with energy efficiency. Blackvue 4-Channel Dashcams. Drive and park at ease, knowing you have a dashcam system with 360 degree exterior coverage, backing you up should another driver make a false claim and/or drive off. Beginners Guide: https://www.tesla.com/support/model-s-videos Please be sure to read my guidelines as well.

Faqs

  • How far can you drive on a full charge?

The P90D has a range of 253 EPA / 248 rated miles on a full charge. This range is subject to change as you drive due to numerous factors, from the temperature outside to driving speed - etc,. By entering your destination into the navigation system, it will calculate and compensate your trip with supercharger station stops as needed (as well as informing you to lower your driving speed in order to reach your destination). With "Spirited" driving, you can expect a real-world range of 200mi. on a 100% charge - just multiply the charge % by a factor of two. If you're looking for long-range Tesla, check out my friend's brand new Model 3 LR! https://turo.com/rentals/cars/ca/vista/tesla-model-3/519219

  • How long does it take to charge?

At a Tesla Supercharging station, it typically takes 50 minutes to charge from 20% to 90%. However, charging that additional 10% to get the battery to 100% may double the time as the charge rate drops significantly past 90%. Most of the time, charging to 100% will be done overnight at home. Here are some general 100% charge times: Tesla Supercharging Station = 1+ hour Tesla Destination Charger = 8+ hours Home 240v Charging = 12+ hours Home 110v Charging = 24+ hours

  • How do I unlock the doors?

With the key fob on your person, walk up to the car and simply press on the Driver or Passenger handle and it will open. Settings can be changed in the car to enable auto-present door handles.

  • The car is faster than I ever imagined, is there a way to tone it down?

Simply go to Controls > Driving and select “Chill Mode”.
