Faqs
Need to pick up the car early?
Simply log into the app and change your pick-up time. Insurance coverage is only valid during the booked time listed on the app. We kindly ask that if you need to pick up the vehicle early that you go into the TURO app and adjust your rental time accordingly. It’s very easy to do. (TURO does not want us to release a vehicle to a renter unless the rental period has started.)
Can someone else drive the car I booked on Turo?
As long as the driver has been added to the reservation before it begins as an approved verified Turo driver then they can drive at no additional cost!
Does my name have to match my driver's license?
Yes. If you signed up with your Facebook or Google account and your alias on those services is your name on Turo, please call Turo to get it updated before the trip. I am required to verify your legal name exactly on your driver's license with what shows on Turo.
What are Supercharger Idle Fees?
All Teslas can incur idle fees that start after a 5 minute grace period when charging at a Supercharger is completed. For every additional minute a car remains connected to the Supercharger while in this "idle" state it will incur a $0.40/min idle fee. If the Supercharger is 50% occupied: $0.50/minute idle fee. If the Supercharger is 100% occupied: $1.00/minute idle fee. These are Tesla's rates and any charges will be passed on to you.

Returning a car late?
If you will be late returning a vehicle adjust your reservation using the app so that you will be protected with insurance coverage. Please note that sometimes a vehicle has back-to-back rentals and can be going out only an hour after it’s returned. Any late return will lead to a late return fee according to Turo regulations.

I didn’t think Pacfic Ride could top my last experience with them since the bar was already set high but they definitely made the check-in/check-out more efficient. They had already uploded all the photos that needed to be taken of the car in advance & all I had to do was double check the accuracy & send in a selfie with ID for them to verify/unlock. Needed help locating an app that wasn’t readily available on the screen & had to turn on. I messaged them & they were quick in response. They even called me, which I discovered later while I was on the road. Their included Fast Track saved me ~40min. of traffic heading to LA. You get what you pay for in service with Pacific Ride & they’re my recommended go-to when needing a ride in San Diego

Turoing from Pacific Ride was one of the most smoothest & easiest transactions. They are preferably now my go-to San Diego host. They accepted to deliver my request in North County San Diego, which I’m extremely gratful for as mine was being serviced. For some reason, not alot of hosts do the contactless app unlock pick-up anymore. Pacific Ride does. What I love the most is the fact that they give you access to the Tesla App, which just makes everything easier. I was in LA for a music biz event & having access to the app gave me security knowing the car was safe. All from my phone: I can unlock/lock the car. I can see the current charge. I can turn on the camera to see activity outside the car to watch later. I can pre-cool the car with AC before I come in. I only ever had experience from one host that let me have access to the app during a trip. It really just make everything easier & I love it. If you’ve never driven a Tesla, I recommend Pacific Ride to get the full experience. Also they have Fast Track with this car so it really is an all around convenient car for long trips. I would say it’s a bummer that their Model Y has the age limit booking considering if I decide to treat my parents on a trip that I prefer to have more room for their comfort,but nonethtless, 10/10 recommend Pacific Ride! You can never go wrong with a Long Rance Model 3.

Easiest rental ever. Smooth, clean ride. Very informative and friendly. I got a full walk thru by Christian and there’s also a walk thru available in the screens options in case you need help. I’d never driven a Tesla before and I drive off feeling good about it. I splurged but it was worth it, esp with gas prices right now. I requested a last minute drop off time change at like 2am and it was approved quickly. This was the most painless experience ever renting a car, lol. I’m thrilled, thank you again.
