This was a horrible rental experience. The car was not in good mechanical shape the entire time we had it. It wouldn’t even go up a hill without the check engine light coming on and the car bucking. When we returned it, he said it needed spark plugs. My question is then why weren’t the spark plugs replaced before the car was rented? Also, please be aware that you are not renting through a personal owner. This is a business called ‘Quality Rental Cars’. When we returned it, we were told we damaged one of the panels and he wanted $350 in cash for it. We did not do that and were charged $150 by Turo. The car had many dings on it when it was taken, I took about 19 pictures but unfortunately not of the particular spot he complained about, I probably missed that as the sun was very bright that day. So we had a very sub par rental and additionally were scammed out of more money when we returned it. I definitely suggest never renting this car and also do not recommend renting through Turo in general. It’s downright wrong to charge someone’s card for damage without even notifying them in any way. Unfortunately it’s worth it to pay the extra money and go through a rental car agency where you won’t be scammed.

Our pre trip photos showed the damaged area, and you know that the damage happened during your trip,, The only reason Turo offered us $174 because there was a yellow mark there, Turo paid less than half but since it wasn’t a scratch, and it came off, we didn’t accept the settlement, Turo is going to pay for full panel, we tried to resolved it with you, we didn’t try to scam you. engine light was for service maintenance, it’s normal, you had the car from Dec 29 through Feb 10th.

Zinab was very communicative and accommodating which we appreciated. The price was very reasonable. However the car wasn’t in good condition - it didn’t run well, didn’t feel safe, and the interior wasn’t clean.

It was definitely cleaner when you picked it up than when you brought it back, and rear bumper wasn’t hit, off course we let you slide by with that damage without charging you, you would in return compensate us with a 2 star rating.

Definitely no complaints. Pickup and drop off was easy and the car looked and functioned perfectly. Definitely will try and rent again next time.
