Description

Take a trip back in time and check this one off your bucket list with an iconic American muscle car. Built on the 7th day of production, this is a Raven Black monster with Platinum Shelby racing stripes and has a 289 v8 manual with 5 speed Hurst shifter and Tremec transmission, dual exhaust, and disc brakes that have to be seen and heard to be appreciated. A Sony bluetooth stereo system means anyone can connect their own music library, but you'll be much happier listening to the sound of the engine roaring. This is not a track car, it is for the street. As a 55+ year old classic, it has original interior, no AC nor power steering, but drives excellently, and was recently awarded a Gold at the 2019 Mustang Club of America Grand National competition. Anyone can rent a Porsche, Lamborghini, or Ferrari, but you can’t rent cool. This car screams 18 feet of bada$$ cool. This rental offer is for personal uses only. If you are renting this vehicle for use in any type of a film or commercial photography project, a property release is required and an additional fee applies.

Faqs

  • I want to use your car in my film or photography project. Why is there an extra charge?

The rental charges listed are for personal use only. If you are using this highly recognizable car for a film or commercial photography project, we charge a fee that varies depending on the project, and can be negotiated before hand. Since you are looking to use the vehicle in such an endeavor, just as models and talent are required to sign model releases, locations often require a location permit or arrangement, so too does the use of this car in projects of this nature require a property release. Use of the vehicle without a property release and an additional fee paid is not permitted.

  • I want to teach my child to drive stick on this car. Can I?

Sadly, no. This vehicle has a high performance T-5 Tremec manual transmission, and is suitable for driving by someone who has experience driving stick. Not only will you damage the transmission, but the person you are trying to teach will be discouraged.

  • Can I take this car to the track to race?

Please don't. While it has the performance capability to do so, driving on the track or a strip introduces signifiant wear and tear beyond a normal rental. Enjoy the car on the highway or scenic rural roads of Virginia or Maryland. There are plenty of comfortable drives you can enjoy.

  • I want to use the car for a wedding. Will it work?

Yes! Guests have enjoyed doing so, and we have custom tags (for entertainment purposes only, and not street driving) that read "Just Married" for each of the DMV jurisdictions. We can discuss how to use them if this is what you want the car for! Keep in mind, the car is a two door, so you'll be tipping the front seats forward to get into the back if someone is driving you.

  • Can I drive the car in a parade?

Yes, you can. However, most parades run at a very slow pace, and a manual transmission car even in first gear is going to go faster than the average parade, meaning you'll be riding the clutch for most of the parade. If the parade is moving at a faster pace, this might not be an issue.

My sister got hitched this weekend, and I rented John’s Mustang to drive her and her husband home after the reception. It’s easily the coolest car you’ll find on Turo. John made sure I had all the information I needed in order to enjoy the car. He even added a cool gadget that allowed us to flip the license plate over to say “just married.” We couldn’t have been happier. Thanks John!
