Description

I’m happy to share my beautiful 2019 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio. This is the high performance model with a 505 horsepower twin turbo V6 co-developed by Alfa Romeo and Ferrari. It has won nearly every comparison test against competitors like the BMW M3 and Mercedes C63 and was named Motor Trend Car of the Year. One drive in this amazing car and you'll know why. - 0-60 in 3.8 seconds - Top speed is 191 mph -4 stage adjustable drive modes allow the car to shift from a comfortable luxury sedan to an ultra-high performance animal depending on your mood - Carbon fiber roof, hood, and drive shaft - Heated carbon fiber and Alcantara steering wheel - Radar and camera-based adaptive cruise control (autonomously adjusts vehicle speed to maintain a safe distance from the car ahead) - Forward collision warning with optional automatic brake assist - Lane keeping assist -14 speaker Harmon Kardon stereo with Apple Car Play and Android Auto capability -Seats 4 comfortably, 5 if needed -Split folding rear seats for increased trunk space So, why am I sharing this car with other enthusiasts? Of course, the rental income helps to cover the costs, but more than anything, this car is simply too incredible to keep to myself. I'm a lifelong car nut. I sometimes rent fun cars for the day just to experience them in a deeper way than you can in a 5 minute test drive at a dealership. Two years ago, I rented an Alfa Romeo 4C, thinking it would be fun for the day but too impractical to own. After an hour behind the wheel, I couldn't stop smiling and I knew that I needed to own one. A couple weeks later, I said goodbye to my Boxster and welcomed a 4C Spider into my life. After a year as 1 of maybe 5 people in the world crazy enough to use a 4C as a daily driver, I decided it was time to add something equally fun but more practical to complement the 4C. One test drive in the Giulia Quadrifoglio and I knew it was just as special as it's baby brother. My chief criticism of most modern cars is that they may have great performance but they're just not as engaging and fun to drive as cars used to be. The Alfas manage to achieve both incredible performance and an emotional richness that has been lost from its competitors. There are plenty of cars worthy of your respect. This one makes you fall in love. Just as renting the 4C made me take a chance and buy one, I hope that by sharing my Giulia, I can inspire some other enthusiasts to discover how incredible this car is and perhaps add one to their own garages. Curious about some equally special and interesting cars? Check out my listings for the Alfa Romeo 4C or my newest baby, the 2020 Lotus Evora GT.

Guidelines

This is a high performance car and I'm sharing it with the understanding that it will appeal to enthusiasts who will want to explore its capabilities. I want people to enjoy it, but in a way that is safe, responsible, and doesn't abuse the car. This isn’t “just a rental.” Its my personal vehicle. The car is equipped with remote monitoring that will alert me of abusive driving to help ensure that sharing this amazing machine remains a positive experience for everyone. So please, enjoy the car! Have fun with it! But if you wouldn't do something to your own car, you shouldn't do it to mine. Some examples: -It is forbidden to use my car for any racing or track days. There are companies that rent cars specifically for track use and charge appropriate rates to cover the high costs of wear and tear. Also, most auto insurance including Turo's policies won't cover any damages that occur on a track. -Repeated full throttle 0-60 acceleration runs or "launch control" style runs. Have fun exploring the acceleration but it's not a drag racer. -Drifting, burnouts, skidpad-style maneuvers. We've all seen the videos of Mustangs spinning wildly into the crowds at Cars and Coffee events. The Giulia is a 505 hp rear wheel drive car. Leave the traction control system on. Trying to show off with a power slide has a very high likelihood of ending poorly. --And for God's sake, don't attempt to get anywhere near the 191 mph top speed on a public highway!

The Giulia QV is a truly incredible vehicle, effortless cruiser on highways and while navigating slow traffic. But with the flick of a switch the whole character changes, the engine comes alive, the suspension stiffens and the wheel tightens up. It truly is something to be experienced. Michael is a truly amazing host, very patient, willing to talk about cars and even offered a ride in his Alfa Romeo 4C. I’m truly looking forward to renting from him again!
