• What if I get tolls from driving on the Interstate or through tunnels?

  There is an EZ-Pass transponder inside the car. If you accumulate tolls while you are renting the car I will let Turo know the total cost of reimbursement and you will pay Turo then Turo will reimburse me. Do not use your own EZ-Pass inside the car.

• What if I get a speeding ticket, parking ticket or moving violation in the car?

  If any of these situations happen, you will be charged the full amount of the fee or fine. Also an additional $35 admin fee will be charged. Turo will handle charging you the full amounts.

• Do I have to pay for charging the Tesla's battery?

  Yes, If you charge the car's battery at a Tesla Supercharger the cost to charge will be recorded in my Tesla account and I will send you an invoice for reimbursement after your trip. Simply park next to the Supercharger and plug in the car for approximately 10 to 15 minutes and you will have enough charge. Do not leave the car unattended after the charging has completed because it will accumulate idle fees by the minute and then you will need to reimburse me for those fees. If you charge anywhere OUTSIDE the Tesla network (such as EVGo, ChargePoint) you will need to pay for charging at that location out of pocket. If you are in the Baltimore area and need emergency charging for the car call me immediately and we will figure out a solution.

• What if I get the car dirty? Will I be charged a fee?

  There is no smoking, no vaping, no marijuana, no drug or alcohol use in the car. Do not eat in the car. No animals or pets are allowed in the car. If any smoke smell, alcohol smell or ashes are found in the car, Turo will charge a cleaning fee to you. If any animal hair is found in the car, Turo will charge a cleaning fee to you. If any excessive dirt, mud, sand or trash is found in the car, Turo will charge a cleaning fee to you. Leave the car as clean as you can, and I will have it professionally cleaned, detailed and sanitized.

• What if I lose the keycard to the vehicle?

  Lost keycard is a $100 replacement fee. Please keep the keycard safe with you until you return the car. When you return the car you will receive instructions on where to leave the keycard. Call me once you exit the vehicle and remove your belongings or luggage. I will remote lock the car for you. If you lose the keycard during your rental period contact me immediately so we can make arrangements to get a replacement a.s.a.p.

• Is this car fully autonomous? Can the car fully drive itself without a person driving it? Is the car a Robo-Taxi?

  No. The car is not a Robo-Taxi. The car does not drive itself. The car is not fully autonomous. This car requires a human driver to actively operate the vehicle. Please stay aware at all times and operate the vehicle in a safe and legal manner. The United States federal law does NOT currently allow for cars that fully, autonomously drive themselves.

• Can I rent this car for a long term?

  Yes, you can rent this car for up to a month at a time. For long term rentals, I will ask that you let me inspect the vehicle about once a week so that I can make sure the car is in the best condition for you to enjoy. For long term rentals contact me and we can work something out.

• What if I get a flat tire?

  If you get a flat tire or if the car stops working for any reason call me immediately so we can work out a solution. The car has TESLA roadside assistance, where TESLA will dispatch a tow truck to bring you and the vehicle to an authorized TESLA service center. Also you can call TURO emergency line to ask for a tow.. Have the towtruck driver bring the TESLA car to an authorized TESLA service center.

• How do I charge at a non-Tesla station?

  The short answer is No. This vehicle is set up to charge at Tesla Supercharging stations ONLY. Please only use Tesla Superchargers. You can search for Tesla Superchargers on the Touchscreen Tablet inside the car. The stations will show up as RED bubbles on the Google Maps screen.

• How fast is this Tesla?

  Pretty darn fast. Please follow all posted speed limit signs. Please follow all traffic safety laws. There is a speed governor in the car that limits the top speed to 85 mph. Please drive safely at the speed limit. The speed governor helps to prevent excessive speeding, encourages the driver to operate the car at a safer speed for the safety of driver, passengers and the car itself. Also driving at safe speeds helps to extend the range of the battery allowing you to drive more miles from each Supercharging session.
