Parking details

Andy has dedicated parking in the Solheim-Paul parking lot located between 15th and 16th Ave on Kerney behind REI Portland. His keys stay inside and hand-off can be done remotely to unlock at the start of your trip! It's pretty cool and makes renting super easy as I can accommodate just about any and all pick-up or drop-off time that works for you. If you're coming from Portland International Airport (PDX) Downtown Portland is also easy to access. Just hop on the red line MAX ($2.50) and get off at either the downtown China Town stop and walk, or the Galleria/SW 10th Ave Max Station and transfer to either the NS Line or the A-loop of the street car (same ticket). Then exit at NW 10th and Johnson street and walk the 5 blocks to the lot.

Guidelines

* Keys: Always stay locked inside. He is remotely unlocked/locked and the start/end of the trip. Makes sharing super easy for everyone! * Pets: Pets may be considered if asked ahead of time so that a seat cover can be provided. Damage and excess fur may result in additional cleaning/damage charges at end of trip. * Smoking: Not allowed ever in Turo cars. Neither tobacco or electronic. You will get charged a $250 cleaning fee if evidence of smoking is found. * Fuel: Anderson will always be full of gas at the start of your trip. Please refuel when done to avoid additional charges and a $10 fueling fee. This car requires 92 octane. * Driving: Please be extra careful when driving around. Anderson is very low to the ground and Portland has many high curbs. He's a little car and does not need much space to park. Please be careful with his front end!

Faqs

  • Why does Anderson need premium fuel?

Anderson has a turbo as he's a Mini Cooper type S. The turbo gives the engine higher compression which requires higher grade food. But on the upside, it makes him way more fun to motor around in!

  • Can you accommodate last minute trips?

Yes absolutely! With Anderson's remote lock/unlock you can pick him up and return at anytime that is convenient for you. I try to instantly respond to trip requests, so if you don't get a response in under an hour please feel free to call or text me directly.

  • Who should I contact if I'd like to buy or sell a home in Oregon?

Just talk to my dad. His business cards are inside, feel free to take one.

  • What passes are needed in Oregon?

There are no toll roads or bridges to worry about. However, many mountain trails require a Northwest Forest Pass, and if you're heading to the snow a Sno-Park permit is required in designated Sno-Parks from November 1 – April 30. If you need these passes just let dad know. He may have one which can be borrowed for the trip.

Fun car.

Samuel was very accommodating when I had any questions about the car. The mini copper was fun to drive around town since it was my first time driving such a smaller car like it. The only minor issue the car had was the engine light came on at one point during our trip. When I reached out to Samuel about it he responded right away. He explained the car already had all the fluids replaced so it was actually ok. The car ended up being fine for the rest of the trip we had it and we had no other issues.
