Description

Did you know that the Mazda 2 is really a Toyota in disguise, oh yeah true believers, this killer ride is really a very reliable and fun Toyota. You'll get great styling, performance and did i mention the mileage. This gets Prius level mileage. Also, all the audio inputs are on the center console so swapping out your gear is simple and easy. My wife absolutely loves the sound system and set up on this puppy too. PROHIBITED USES: Ride-sharing and delivery services are not permitted in TURO vehicles.

I was very excited about our road trip through Arizona. I picked this car because it stated on the description that it had gas mileage like a Toyota (which means great)...it absolutely did not. It guzzled gas, so keep that in mind if thinking about going with this car. Also, knowing we’d be in the car for a few hours driving, we were relying on the plugs to work with the chargers so that we’d have fully charged phones for our hikes. Again, it was stated they worked in the ad; they do not. We had to stop and buy the only portable charger we could find, which costed us $87. On top of all of this, there were a LOT of cosmetic damages to the car that I was only notified right before the trip, and not fully notified of the extent of them. We looked like we got in a full on accident on the outside and a lot of the interior was ripped up as well. In addition, the car was not smooth, had a lot of issues switching gears, and almost put us in an accident because it’s ill-alignment swerved us majorly to the right. Adam seemed very pleasant to text with, and *seemed* like he was professional and willing to work with us over some of these issues. (Most we discovered as the trip went on.) He even offered a discount in messages at the end of the rental. However, we are getting charged an outrageous amount with absolutely no discount included and no explanation as to why there’s no discount, when he stated himself we would be receiving one. I don’t recommend renting from this person; what was supposed to be a fun, cheaper trip turned into a nightmare renting this car. Save yourself the trouble.

Adam's response

Jake was offered to swap vehicles prior to his rental given the car had some imperfections. He decided not to. Furthermore, he was able to inspect the vehicle before taking it and was completely capable of booking something else had it not met his expectations. Lastly, we even offered to swap his vehicle 30 min after he expressed his concerns. Again, he went through with his rental.
