Description

Ladies and gentlemen, your ride is here. This is my Long-Range Tesla Model 3, named "Don't Panic". Its stunning jet black body rides on 19" premium wheels and high-performance all-season sport tires. The cabin boasts a theatre-quality immersive sound system with fifteen speakers and a discrete amp. The interior is outfitted with full-premium lush black leather fully-heated seats. The high-resolution touchscreen replaces almost every knob, button, and dial you would find in any other car's dashboard. You'll control virtually everything from here, from driving dynamics to the climate system to navigation (Google Maps with real-time traffic and advanced route planning) to entertainment options. As for entertainment: when you're on the road, you have TuneIn Internet Radio, ad-free Spotify Premium music streaming with all the world's music; AM/FM radio, or feel free to link your phone via bluetooth and bring your own tunes. When you're parked, you have available Netflix, YouTube, Tesla arcade, Easter eggs, and other goodies via Tesla's entertainment center. The car has an always-on cellular connection with unlimited LTE data, so stream as much as you'd like at zero cost. Ultra-convenient Qi wireless smartphone charging is available in the forward center console below the touchscreen, and there are USB ports for wired charging near the rear climate vents. This Model 3 is equipped with Tesla's Full-Self Driving Computer, and it is at your service. That means it includes full Autopilot, Navigate-on-Autopilot, automated parallel parking, traffic control and automatic stopping at stop signs and traffic lights, automatic lane changing, and all the other advanced driver assistance features Tesla offers on the Model 3 today. It is queued to receive the upcoming 8.3 FSD beta software. This car is simply a joy to drive. It gives you instant torque off the line and does 0-60 in about four seconds. It’s smooth as silk at any speed. Total range on a full charge is ~310 miles and options for charging are plentiful (see FAQ #3 in this listing). You'll pick it up near full and are welcome to return it near empty. Tesla's Model 3 is a beautiful marriage of engineering, technology, and art. Every time you get in this car, it feels like you’re driving the future, and all of your wildest automotive dreams are coming true. Book now and get ready to fall in love.

Parking details

Thanks for your booking! You are welcome to park in our driveway for the duration of your rental if you'd like.

Guidelines

No food, smoking, vaping, or alcohol please. Pets are most welcome, and this Model 3 has Dog Mode climate control available to keep animal companions comfortable, but please return the car clean. Please respect that this is my personal vehicle and not just a rental car. Please do not smoke under any circumstances. A minimum $150 fee will apply for mitigation of smoke if detected.

Faqs

  • What about tolls?

This Model 3 is equipped with an E-ZPass transponder. States connected to the E-ZPass system include Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia and West Virginia. Simply drive through any toll plaza you encounter in any of these states, and tolls will be charged to my online account. I’ll provide a receipt of accumulated tolls after the rental closes and you’ll reimburse actual toll amounts. Easy! Alternatively, you can bring along your own EZPass instead if you prefer - just let me know.

  • What about Autopilot? Does the car drive itself?

Sort of! This Model 3 has the "Full Self Driving" Tesla Autopilot computer, which will eventually provide...full self driving. For now it is easily the most comprehensive driver assistance technology available; details of the current features are available here: http://www.tesla.com/autopilot New features are being added all the time. For example, this past Summer it gained automatic stopping at red lights and stop signs (and proceeding when green/clear). It's really, really cool.

  • What about charging?

You have lots of options. This Model 3 is a Long Range edition, so it gets about 310 miles from a full charge. You'll pick it up with a full charge and are welcome to return it with little charge remaining (~30 miles). If you’d like more range during your rental, you have several options for charging. You can charge as much or as little as you need at any Tesla Supercharger (~300-500 miles of range per hour). Supercharging is the ultimate in speed and convenience as you get a massive amount of range very quickly - just plug in and start getting juice, fast. A full charge (310 miles) costs about $15 - after your rental is over, I'll provide a receipt from Tesla and you'll reimburse me actual costs. Or, you can purchase the unlimited Supercharging add-on (labeled as "Generator" in Turo Extras) before your rental begins and use any of the 17,000 Supercharging stalls in North America to get as much energy as you care for, anytime during your rental. Or, you can use any available power source for not-Super charging. Using the included Tesla Mobile Connector, household wall sockets (120-volt, 15-amp) provide ~4 miles of range per hour of charge. This is rather slow, but it is still an effective way to accumulate range, for example if you're charging while parked overnight. I'm also including a 50-foot extension cord for your convenience. Roadside J1772 chargers (ChargePoint, EVGo, and other charging networks) typically provide between 20 and 45 miles of range per hour, depending on the specific charger. Some are free; some are pay-per-use. All are far less expensive than gasoline. There is also a growing network of Tesla Destination Chargers (~44 miles of range per hour), and in my experience many of these are free. An excellent resource for finding all sorts of charging infrastructure (including J1772 and Superchargers) is www.plugshare.com. It is community-sourced and regularly updated. It is particularly helpful in finding free or low-cost J1772 charging in any given area. Anyway, depending on how far you're going, you may end up charging a lot, a little, or not at all. You have options, and I'm happy to help you plan your route if I can be of assistance. Even if you have a long trip panned, figure your charge strategy ahead of time and you'll be fine. The economic and environmental aspects of charging are terrific, too: this vehicle is EPA-rated @ 129 MPGe.

  • What if I have any questions or issues during my rental?

Just reach out anytime - 24/7 - using the Turo app or via my cell phone (call or text), and we'll work it out. I aim to provide exceptional customer service and will do my level best to make your rental enjoyable and carefree.
