Parking details

Car is in the parking lot at the back of the building. The key is in the car and instructions for unlocking it are on Turo (read through all of them, please!).

Guidelines

Please: 1) Charge: Return the car with at least the same charge as you received it. Since it’s an electric car, I’ll consider “full” to be anything 250 miles of range or above, and a full "tank" will be considered worth $60. Returning with a portion less than full will incur a charge proportional to the range that needs to be replaced (e.g. 50 miles of range lost between the start and end of the trip would be 50/250 * $60 = $12). Note: You may choose to purchase a full tank as a trip option, which is $35 instead of $60. 2) Cleaning: Return the car as clean as you received it. Otherwise you’ll be charged a cleaning fee. Note: If you receive the car and you consider it to be dirty, then please let me know and I'll be happy to reimburse you to go to a car wash. However, you need to inform me of this at the beginning of the rental. 3) Supercharging: You are welcome to take the car to a supercharger, but keep in mind that Tesla charges for supercharging the Model 3. If you do supercharge it, I'll just charge you the total supercharging cost that Tesla charges me. That's ~$0.28-0.32 / kWh or $0.11-0.12 / mile. This is cheaper than the "tank" cost noted in #1, so it is better to do this instead! 4) No No's: No pets in the car (unless the pet is in a carrier). No smoking in the car. Nothing in the car that would leave a smell or residue. If anything is spilled in the car, you'll be charged to do an interior detail on the car (more if the cleaning is really involved). 5) Leather Interior: Be careful to not scratch the leather in the car. I've had renters in the past who have scratched it from keys in their pockets scratching the seat or rings on their hands scratching the steering wheel. The leather can normally be repaired, but it's usually a $200 or more charge to fix it.

Communication with Grayson was excellent. And, already owning my own Tesla outside the U.S., it felt good to not have to drive an internal combustion engine vehicle for this U.S. vacation. Very good overall rental experience. Would definitely rent from Grayson again.

I have no complaints about the vehicle. The car drives nicely and it was clean. There are a few scratches and dents, of which they were aware, nothing major. On Turo app it was indicated that pickup would be at the airport and that the host would contact me for details. I arrived at the airport at 1:30pm and it was not until I messaged the host at 2pm that he told me I had to get an Uber to a valet lot to get the car. When I got the car, I found out the car was not fully charged and that I would need to bring it somewhere to charge it - it’s like not having a full tank of gas, but you can’t charge anywhere like you can a regular car. It was inconvenient because it took time I did not have to spare sitting at a Tesla supercharger station. Return also took a bit of texting back and forth on my way to the airport to figure out where to return the vehicle. In the end the host did the right thing by making up for the inconvenience.

Renting from Grayson was an excellent experience! Simple pickup and dropoff at the Turo airport lot, thorough descriptions included for everything you need to know about the car, highly recommend!

Grayson is a great guy and very flexible when asking for anything. Also the car works perfectly and it was the perfect rent for a business trip! Would definitely rent again

Initially, I was slightly frustrated with Grayson as both the exterior and interior of the Model 3 I rented were dirty and clearly not cleaned from the previous renter. I messaged Grayson and he immediately made it right- by comping me the entire trip. Apparently, there was a mix up and the car was supposed to have been cleaned by a third party since Grayson manages his business remotely. I thought this was fantastic customer service as things never go right 100% of the time. He also offered to reimburse me for a wash if I chose to do so. Additionally, if renting from SFO keep in mind there is a valet lot you have to Uber to even if it says free pickup. The Ubers are fully reimbursed by Turo though and its no more inconvenient than taking a shuttle to a rental car center as occurs in most large airports.
