Less than a mile from the airport. If you’re leaving a vehicle here, it must be parked on the street. Safe, business/industrial area but limited sidewalks, I don’t recommend walking here from the airport with luggage.

No smoking or vaping! No off-road driving allowed out in Joshua Tree This BMW has Run-Flat tires but no spare tire. Replacement of 1 Run-Flat tire with mount and balance and wheel alignment is $440. Please exercise caution when driving out in the desert, as any/all damage is your responsibility.

• How Does The Convertible Top Work!

  After luggage is loaded, check inside trunk to make sure the ‘trunk partition’ is in the down position.. Close trunk. Start vehicle. Top button is on the lower console by the armrest. Push the button down and hold continuously until the operation completes and you hear a chime. To raise the top, lift up on the button until you hear it chime. If you keep holding the button ‘up’ after the chime, all 4 windows will close.

• What’s the best way to load luggage?

  The 6-series trunk is decent sized, especially with the top down. I recommend putting only carry-on sized luggage and backpacks in the trunk. The “trunk partition” is the black plastic panel near the upper portion of the inside of the trunk with cutout to move it up and down. It must be “down” to work the convertible top. While loading luggage, you can move it “up” to store more luggage. Place a carry-on flat on the trunk floor sideways and push it all the way back. Make sure the lowered partition hasn’t moved. Usually 1 more carry-on and 2 backpacks will fit in the remaining space. Recheck partition to make sure it’s still “down”. Slowly close trunk making sure nothing is obstructing its closure. Now you can follow instructions to lower top. Checked-luggage and remaining items can be stowed in back seat easier with top down. Make sure luggage wheels/handles are laid down flat, not pressing into upholstery material.

• How many people can fit comfortably in the BMW?

  4 people with checked luggage leaving from the airport will not be very comfortable if traveling a great distance (Joshua Tree for example). Back seat is decent sized and good legroom and 2 seat belts. I realize that once you reach your destination, you will unload your luggage and the comfort level will increase. I want you to fully enjoy the Convertible Experience and prefer to not stretch the limits of what this convertible can safely accommodate.

• What type of fuel does the BMW use!

  BMW’s run on Premium 91 gasoline. Lower grades will cause poor engine performance such as knocking and pinging and actually result in lower MPG. Please save receipts and/or photocopy and post to App. BMW is delivered with a full tank of gas and must be returned full of Premium. Anything less will be billed at cost of fuel plus $10 convenience fee per Turo guidelines.

• What about pets?

  I love all animals! Pets are allowed but please add the Pet Fee in Extras per Pet (Limit 2 including Service Animals). Should I find excessive pet hair/accidents, there is a $150 cleaning fee per Turo

• How do I open the trunk?

  Unlock the vehicle, press the trunk release either on the hard key or the release button inside by the driver’s lower left cowl. Once it’s released, push in the top of the BMW badge on the upper portion of the trunk and lift up.
