WE CANNOT RELEASE THE CAR TO ANYONE OTHER THAN THE PRIMARY DRIVER. The ONLY DOCUMENT you need is your Driver’s License. Please make sure you have your PHYSICAL VALID DRIVER's LICENSE. Since I won’t be seeing you in person I need you to text me a picture holding your Drivers License with the car in the background in order for me to unlock the car. This is the way used to validate your identity. Check-Out Requirements: Simply let me know when you want me to remotely lock the car, and you can leave the key inside the storage compartment between the front seats in the RFID Poach. Please adhere to the following guidelines: 1) Absolutely no pets allowed 2) Driver must have a valid Drivers Licence and 21+ Years of age 3) Please return the car with a full tank of Gasoline unless you selected an alternate option under 'Extras" 4) Premium Gasoline only 5) No track, offroad or road racing allowed 6) If you need roadside assistance, please call (415) 965-4525 and choose the option for Roadside Assistance 7) The allowed miles for your trip are listed on Turo. The “Total Miles Included” on Turo is the limit for your entire trip. Please make sure you’re aware of the number of miles included for your trip. There will be a fee for additional miles driven 8) Please return the car by the scheduled End Date and End Time listed on Turo. If you think you will not be able to return the car by your scheduled End Date and End Time listed on Turo, please use the “Change Trip” and “Change Trip Length” options to extend your trip before it officially ends. If the car is not returned by the scheduled End Date and End Time listed on Turo, you will be charged an additional usage fee, a late fee, and an improper return fee 9) If you get a Parking or Speeding Ticket, please pay the ticket right away. If you don't pay the ticket as soon as possible, we will get a copy of the ticket in the mail. You will then be charged the following on Turo: A) the cost of the ticket, B) all relevant processing fees administered by the issuing body, C) and a $30 processing fee per ticket. 10) If the vehicle is towed to an Impound lot, it is your responsibility to retrieve the vehicle immediately. It is your responsibility to pay for all fees associated with the ticket, tow, and storage. What will happen if i was speeding or parked illegally at some location?
When we receive Parking Violation fines or Speeding Fines for the period during you rental, we will pay the fines and you will be charged accordingly with proof of the fines incurred.
Will I be charged for Toll Fees?
Yes, the car is fitted with a Texas Toll Tag. After your trip has been completed, we will provide you with proof of Toll Expenses during your trip and you will be charged accordingly
Can I use the car for track, road or offroad racing?
Absolutely not - such activities are prohibited. Please see Turo rules here: https://help.turo.com/en_us/prohibited-uses-Hyi0E4l49
Can I return the car without refueling it?
Yes, however you will be charged for the top-up Premium fuel AND an extra convenience fee. You do have an option under "Extras" to pay for refueling. The car will be fully fueled when you receive it.
Can I drive the car to other States outside of Texas?
No, the car may only be used within Texas. Should you want to travel outside of Texas please contact the host.
What should I do when i am in an accident?
In case of an accident, the Turo Insurance ID Card is available on the App when you view the Trip Details. Please write down or take pictures of the other vehicle/s (VIN, license plate, and state of vehicle), Driver's License info (name, address, and Driver's License number), and Insurance info (Insurance Company and Policy Number) of all parties involved. Please inform Turo AND your host of the details of the accident and share all relevant documents.
