0 stars if I could. This man does not check his cars before renting it out. He approved a car that was in an accident prior to me getting it. Little did he know, the previous fender bender caused internal damage - there was a massive leak in the coolant reservoir. As soon as I got on the road the engine overheat notice came on and he assured me to just put water in the reservoir. I’m not a fucking mechanic. He is. I barely arrived to my destination when the engine started smoking and hissing and there was drippage from the front. I couldn’t use the car for the rest of the trip. I had to take it to autozone and they told me that water in the reservoir is just a temporary fix. I got two jugs of antifreeze and filled up the reservoir. After a 5 minute drive, smoking engine again. Had to wait an hour for the engine to cool down and discovered the reservoir was COMPLETELY EMPTY. If I had continued driving as Stefan assured me it was safe, the car would’ve caught on fire. He was apologetic and said he’d refund us but of course, he’s backtracking now. I had to wait 7 hours for a fucking tow, as if I had time for all this car drama. Rent from anyone else to avoid a nightmare and a side of gaslighting. Had to spend 400$ in last minute emergency flights to get home.

Sorry for your bad experience, if I was aware of the issue before the reservation began, I would've taken car of it or found you a replacement vehicle. As far as your refund, I have agreed to refund for the total amount I received from this 2 day reservation ($80), the remainder will come from Turos end. Since the vehicle is being towed from a few hundred miles away, I still have not gotten the vehicle back that's why Turos system has not initiated the refund. I've had few tows canceled also.
