Guidelines

- Pets welcome, but please return the car clean. - NO Smoking/Vaping, NO eating; minimum $150 cleaning fee, if there is any smoke/vape smell or other foul smell detected upon return. - Car has to be returned as the same condition when released to the guest unless post-cleaning extra is purchased, $35 will be charged for car handwash service if customer doesn't have time to wash before return. This applies to battery level as well, $20 plus the charging fee (if any) will be requested for reimbursement if the car is returned 20% lower than the battery level was released to customer (without the extra). - Please keep the battery level within 20% and 85% range (45 miles and 192 miles), it's for your own good. Never overstay at supercharging stations, Tesla will charge up to $1/minute of idle fee if you leave the car over the charging estimate time. - Please contact me at 9495249696 before you make the booking with the unlimited mileage, if you provide me the detail of the trip I can adjust the fee as low as $25/day for reasonable roadtrips.

Faqs

  • How do I charge your car?

The car has built-in navigation system and will show you all the supercharger stations nearby your area, you just need to go there and plug the charger in, no payment required on-site*. If you want to plug it in your home or at destination charger, there is an adapter and cable in the frunk (front trunk). * Free supercharging only applies for the Model X/S were built before Dec 2016, all Tesla vehicles after that are subject to be charged for supercharging. You won't have to pay on-site, all the cost will go to my credit card associates with my Tesla account and I will ask for reimbursement after the rent is complete with supercharging receipts. ** If you're renting my Model X, it's free. There are 3 levels of charging: 120V, 240V, 480V - 120V: your house outlet. Rate: 2-3miles/hour. 24+ hours for a full charge - 240V: 3rd party charging station (or if you upgrade your house outlets to use for laundry and dryer). Rate: 20-30miles/hour. 7+ hours for a full charge. Recommended for overnight charging. - 480V: Tesla charging station (Tesla screen will show all the stations nearby). Rate: 500+ miles/hour. 15-45min for a full charge. Recommended for road trip or short-term rental.

  • If I use toll roads during the trip, what should I do?

My highly recommendation is try to avoid tollroads as much as you can because I don’t have any tollroads account and I’m not going to create one. But if you have to use it please follow these instructions below: - The easiest option is to use the car’s license plate and go online to pay for the toll right away Or - Let me know after the trip so I can pay for it and I’ll ask for reimbursement If the tollroads sends me violation notice with the penalty but I have no idea about it because you didn’t let me know, you’re fully responsible for it and I’m not going to do anything to get neither the fee or penalty waived.

  • Do I need to wash the car before return all the time?

I don't mind a little dirt in the vehicle but please don't leave any trash, there will be a $35 reimbursement for leaving the vehicle interior dirty to do carwash. If the exterior doesn't look dirty, please take pictures of 4 sides of the car, send me a text message and I'll let you know if I can waive the carwash for you .

  • How do I unlock the car?

Tap the key card against the door pillar. The mirrors will unfold, alerting you the car is unlocked. * If I give you the keyfob, double press on the top of the key will unlock the vehicle, one press will lock it and long press will summon the car.

  • Which one is the gear stalk?

The stalk behind the wheel on the right. The left stalk is for the signals.

  • How do I put the car in park?

Push button on end of the gear stalk in.

  • How do I drive the car?

    1. Put foot on brake. 2. Pull gear stalk down into D position. 3. Push gear stalk up into R position. 4. Occasionally, if you’ve gotten out and gotten back in, the screen will tell you to put the key card on the console * If I give you the keyfob, double press on the top of the key will let you drive the car without having to put the key card on the console

  • Why is the unlimited mileage so expensive?

Please contact me at 9495249696 before you make the booking with the unlimited mileage, if you provide me the detail of the trip I can adjust the fee as low as $25/day for reasonable roadtrips.

  • Why does the car sometimes make really loud noise during supercharging?

It's normal don't worry about it, if you turn off your AC (which is not practical) it will stop the sound. Most of Tesla cars have the same issue and I heard bringing it back to service will fix it but leaving my cars at service center always gives me a hassle time to deal with them so I decided to live with it.
