This car is a MANUAL transmission., not an automatic. You MUST be proficient with driving a manual to rent this car. You will be rejected at the time of rental if you cannot drive it. There is no better way to see Maui then in a fuel efficient, easy to get around Mini Cooper. The only thing better than a Maui Mini Cooper is a convertible Maui Mini Cooper! This car will get you to Hana and up Haleakala with ease. This is a standard Mini Cooper, not a turbo S model so its not as zippy as its turbocharged kin.

Guidelines
The biggest no-no is taking our cars around the back side of Hana. The road is 12 miles of gravel and really bad pavement. Head to Hana and head back the same way you came. Thanks!

Sandra and her husband were a joy to meet. Their warm welcome was just the beginning of our incredible week. The warm Maui wind actually cooled us as we zipped down the road with the Mini Cooper's top down. The car was clean and easy to drive; if you can drive a stick shift. A bonus, the car gets great gas mileage. Returning the vehicle was also super easy, which was really helpful since we were running behind schedule to catch the plane. When we return to Maui, we will absolutely rent from Sandra again. Mahalo
